I am not going to sugar coat this at all, this is 100% the Thruth. First of all most of the teachers here don't teach, they sit around on there phones while they put on a video. They will stop you in the middle of the hallway if you have improper uniform which I understand but they take away from education, they seem to care more about uniforms then education. There has been countless off fights here, at least one a week usually more. If you have a phone on you when you see a fight they will go through your phone without a warrant or permission from you. They will go through your phone sometimes without a legit reason to do so. Next thing is you would expect a little bit of freedom but in all reality they treat you like a prisoner. The teachers will take over 2 weeks to grade a paper and then give us lunch detention if we forgot about our homework. There are about 4 teachers in that school who actually care about there jobs. The rest are on there phone not caring at all, fix this and this would be a 4 star school.

This school's extra-curricular activities are phenomenal, especially band, choir, drama, and football. However, the AP/honors program here is extremely lacking. More than one teacher amazed me at the fact that they were given a liscence to teach.

We have had 2 children attend Abell. It is a very good school. I would recommend this school to any parent in the Midland Area.
