INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Best school my child went to, but we had to move. I miss the school. I still look for houses around there. Bye:)

I have to agree with the previous rating! when Mrs. Ramirez left the school is going down hill. The new principle is yet to introduce herself to the kids. No communication with the parents whatsoever. Teachers are quitting, they are very frustrated for not being treated right or shown any appreciation. The best teachers are leaving , everyone is complaining about the new principal's ways of dealing with teachers.. Is this power or what. We need to keep the great teachers in the school, and we need to keep this school rising as it was during mrs. Ramiresz time. The teachers being frustrated affects our children. Bring in a more reasonable principle. Negative feedback from the kids and the teachers....not good!!!.

Since Mrs. Ramirez left, the school has gone downhill. The teachers seem to be "phoning it in" with busywork all day.

Quail Valley Elementary is an excellent school. The new Principle Mrs. Ramirez is doing alot of changes to improve the school, with her brininging in very qualified teachers, and improving the atmosphere of the school by increasing communication with the parents and the school staff. My daughter has been at the school for 2 1/2 years, it is an exemplery school, high scores at the Taks exam. in addition, the QVE teams were able to go to a Global competition for Destination Imagination last year competing with the whole world, that was a great accomplishment to QVE and the community,Thank you Mrs. Ramirez and staff and keep up the good work for raising the bar at QVE.

Quail Valley Elementary is an exemplary rated school for a reason. The teachers and staff are great! They really care about the school community and helping my children succeed. I found the teachers to be extremely responsive. My emails were answered right away and the office helped with any concerns (like my child being bullied/teased by another student). I just wish more parents would be involved with the school. The volunteers are a small group and the complaints I've seen (while I was volunteering at the school), unfortunately, have come from those who don't support the school or see the benefit of being involved with their child's education.

Quail Valley pulls in from some rough areas, and the areas have gone downhill. There was a pork project a few years back to rebuild the school, even though it is not over-capacity. A few of the school district higher-ups live in Quail Valley, and want their property values to increase, even at the expense of eastern First Colony (i.e. the zoning decision of pulling in some First Colony area students across from Murphy Rd to "balance" things out.)

the school was kind of good, but some teachers are rude and mean. i found over my years at qve, there were some teachers who yell a lot and seemed like they need anger mangement training.

Best school in the area! Love the staff. All the teachers have far surpassed my expectations. They really care about the students and are doing all they can to help students achieve. Very happy here!

My children have been at QVE for two years. I really love some of the teacher , the support staff are great but two many changes. They are very unorganized and some of the teacher are very special and may need to be in special education classes themselves. My son signed my signature several times last year and when I confronted his teacher that it had been signed with a crayon and pointed out the spelling issues. She was so embarrassed she started giving his bad grades and made his 5th grade year so bad we chosen to home school him this year. The Principal is very slow to respond to your concerns.

while this is one of the older schools in Fort Bend ISD, it also has teachers who have been there for a very long time. The teachers are caring individuals who really take time to listen to the kids as well as teach them. There are also alot of involved parents.
