Moody ISD really does need some improvement in many areas but they have come a long way since 2006. The staff does seem to really care about the students, all of them. And I think that the new principal for the Middle school is going to do the school some good. He seems to have some pretty strict rules and even higher academic standards for the students! He is exactly what Moody ISD needs!

The teachers and staff are above average in effort and focus for improvement. A lot of work needs to be done to move the campus to reconized status. Campus is managed in old style with principal primarly responsible for day to day activities and discipline. Very little organized pro-active effort for TAKS, tuitors and specilize help for kids failing taks. A quality athletic director is attempting to build sound programs but it is a uphill climb. A very laid back atmosphere exist.

No recess, no physical education, no art, and have the 8th graders failing? The junior Beta Club shrank from 15 or so to 3 at the end of the school year. Something is very wrong here at Moody Middle School.

It has a very supportive and professional Principal. He listens and understands the children. He is very fair and doesn't always take the side of the teachers, nor does he always take the side of the parent. He is balanced. From his leadership, his teachers are very caring and understanding of their students. They provide a great atmosphere for my child's learning.
