From the academics to the athletics to the family atmosphere, we couldn't be happier with our decision to become a part of Sacred Heart school. Our only regret is that we didn't move our children to SH sooner. Much is expected of the students and parents, but our children are worth the effort.
Sacred Heart Catholic School offers academic programs that do not even compare to those being offered anywhere close. I transferred my children here from a much larger Catholic school, and I couldn't be more pleased. Not only did our tuition bill get cut in half, but we truly feel like we are a part of a family here at Sacred Heart. The school community is very close-knit, and I never worry that my children aren't being taught, cared for, or looked after. Coming from the city, this is such a blessing to our family. My children are challenged academically and are getting moral guidance along with it. What more could any parent ask for- regardless of denomination?
Sacred Heart is a heavily religious school. Tremendous parental involvement, but that is actually required, at least in the area of fund raising. A large fee is charged to each family if they opt not to participate. We are new this year and have transferred from a montessori school. The academics do not seem as strenuous as what we had in our other school program. They offer Spanish once a week and music once a week. Computer lab once a week.
Both of my children are currently enrolled at Sacred Heart, Muenster. It is truly one of the finest schools in Texas and worth every penny. Stellar staff, nurturing faculty along with leadership of the school being second to none! The school was established in 1890 and was a primary goal of the founders of the town of Muenster. Sacred Heart Schools have given a solid educational foundation to generations of families in the North Texas area, not to mention the presence of Jesus in each of the student s daily lives.
This is an excellent parochial school. The community has two schools which allows competition and keeps each school doing its best. Sacred Heart teachers are very dedicated to the learning and academic/spiritual growth of each child. Students are challenged and are involved either through sports or academics. The school offers an outstanding science and math programs. Recently a 2002 graduate attending a university sent a note to thank the teachers for their help in his rigorous preparation for college. He said that he felt much more prepared than other students at the university.
