This school is incredible and unlike any I have ever seen. Found it odd that someone complained about discipline and respect for students. This was the first school I have ever walked into where I didn't have to worry about people stealing, fighting, cussing every word, vandalizing property. School has not a line drawn in any bathroom, has highly well behaved students, little to no "cliques" (the cheerleaders are friends with the goths), it is a great atmosphere and after teaching here the only troubles I have encountered are very minor. Will never leave this school.
Mumford is an awesome school love the teacher's and also the principle has done an awesome job!
My daughter went to this school and I had to transfer her to FHS. Academics are pretty strong there but students need to be disciplined and taught respect. Athletics aren't very strong either. Volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading are the only sports available. I would not recommend this school.
I think the academic programs here are great, there are many activities but only basketball, volleyball and cheerleading as for as sports. The parents of this school are very active in all activities I have seen.
Excellent school. Teachers really care about student success. Not very strong in athletics but MISD excels in academics. No discipline problems to speak of. Lots of extra-curricular activites such as Robotics, Science Club, FFA, band. Small class size, master teachers who care. Everyone knows everyone and all are accepted. Excellent school!
