Very deceptive place to be. Pitt full of people who go to extreme to look out for and take care of their own. Principle of the Elementary/Junior High and her ways is the biggest threat to the morals, success and reputation of the school. She is a tyrant and bully and does whatever she wants, crosses boundaries and provokes confrontations with parents and there is nothing they can do about it because her own husband is her boss, the Superintendent of the district. Can't help but wonder how many good teachers, staff and students/parent volunteers they have lost due to her unprofessional, insulting, unnecessary, bully behavior. Be very aware that the level of trust in this school is extremely low. But there are also some very good, decent and caring teachers within. Don't understand why they are still teaching under such poor leadership.

Awful, awful, awful in every aspect. Very unhappy with the school, principal and superintendent who are relatives!!! Rough and abusive environment. I will never advice this horrible place to nobody.

I gave Neches ISD a 1 star, because it does not allow for anything lower. The Elementary principal is married to the Superintendent, the School Board members are all related to one, both or other school board members. Last year my high school son was physically assaulted to the point his nose was broken and he had a concussion, he was NOT sent to the hospital. Even though he did not lay a hand on the other boy, both were suspended for 1 day. I had to demand the other boy get 3 days, which he finally did. My 5th grader pushed the elementary principal's son and received 2 days suspension. There were no injuries, no blood, no broken nose. After this year I am moving and would NOT let my dog go to this school. That being said there are some really good teachers that teach at the school, but that alone is not worth the frustration and injustice my children experienced at the hands of the administration.

My daughter has attended Neches Elementary K-5th. Neches Elementary is a great scool. It's a small school where everyone knows everyone...parents, students, and teachers. The kids receive a great classroom education as well as extracirricular activities. Great job!!!!!

I attended Neches, Kindergarten through 12th grade. It was a great school to prepare for college and the teachers were commendable. The various sports and extracurricular activities were well rounded. Being from such a small school, I was able to participate and succeed in everything.

I have two kids who attend here in the 1st and 6th grade. My oldest has been attending here since 1st grade. The teachers are wonderful! They care so much about these kids, not just the grades but emotionally, mentally and physically. The principal Cara Cooke is awesome. She was my oldest teacher in the 3rd grade and then became principal. She is such an uplifting, positive, good christian women, that these kids just love going to school every day. My youngest had trouble with reading in kindergarten and his teacher Mrs. Patty Brown worked so hard and was so patient with him! Their TAKS scores are awesome! This is the best school in Texas!
