Sts. Peter and Paul School is a great school to go to! 2007-2008 will be our 4th year from pre-k to 2nd grade. The teachers are nurturing and challenge the students to do their best in academics and christian values. My kids love their school! You should give Sts. Peter and Paul a try. We look forward to many more years at Sts. Peter and Paul.

We enrolled our son at this school last year after a number of disappointments at other New Braunfels schools. Since then our son has gone from strength to strength in his academic work, but also in his manners, courtesy and demeanor. I would attribute much of this to his interactions with his wonderful teachers and the Principal. His classes seem well balanced across the core disciplines (Math/Science/English), but there's also good exposure to languages and art. He's bilingual already, but I was happy to hear him wanting to speak some Italian too. I especially like the sometimes quite innovative drive for parent involvement at the school; as newcomers to the area we've found it invaluable. I understand the school is 'under new management' and I can't attest to anything before a year ago, but thus far the school has been very supportive of us as parents and has far exceeded our somewhat lofty expectations.

My kids came to this school two years ago.I find it intellectually challenging. It also provides a warm and spiritually uplifting experience. The teachers are caring and insure the kids are above the public school level.Mt first grader left with a 3rd grade reading level despite having initial challenges.Highly recommended ! Also, very safe...great saftey procedures in place.

My kids have received an exceptional education in a Catholic environment. This PreK-8th grade school is unique in a town like New Braunfels. Coupling the school with the Catholic parish has given my kids the ability to worship and study with their friends. As you will find with many schools, we feel the need to supplement some programs (like advanced sports or advanced piano) but focusing on the academics and religious qualities make the school well worth the money.

I have 2 children at SP&P. We have almost completed our second very successful school year. We moved from Wimberley where we attended public school.there is no comparison. Not only do we love the fact of having a Christian based education for our children, but the school also offers so much more. SP&P has a music program, technology program, and athletic program. My children are advanced academically, and are constantly being challenged. The Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School community has a great family support. My children feel very safe, and loved. This is a great school and I look forward to many more years at SP&P!

My children were enrolled in this school last year. The principal assured me that this was a creative thinking curriculum and the curriculum was vertically and horizontally alligned. I found that my kids did LOTS of worksheets and the administration and teachers were not a cohesive team. I felt that there was a lack of leadership and the teachers were not supported by the administration. My kids made great friends and I liked that they learned about Mass, but the school is not what they claim it is while you're taking the tour. I have enrolled my children in another private school and I hope that one day we can be offered a quality education in a Catholic school in New Braunfels.

The academic program is a high quality program, however overcrowding in the lower grade classrooms makes learning a challenge for students. Classes are VERY structured and instruction is worksheet driven. Little leeway is granted to students who are creative, imaginative or free-thinking. Parents with active children or daydreamers should seek another school for their children. Retention for poor social adjustment is a common practice at this school.

Sts. Peter & Paul school is a great learning envirnoment for my children! The teachers are nurturing and challenge the students to perform their personal best in both Christian values and academics. The middle school students have a choice of electives including Spanish, art, PE, drama, web design and study skills. The elementary students also take art, music, PE and Spanish. The parent involvement is awesome! The PTC holds three fundraisers for the school and parents are encouraged to volunteer for various classroom activities.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
