Great campus, hard working personnel--caring and supportive of students.
Both of my children attended this elementary, and my daughter is still there. It is a great school where students are still well-behaved and the teachers are working hard to meet the needs of all the children. 70 % of the kids at this school are economically disadvantaged, but we have a great school system. I am a teacher (not at this campus), and I have taught at a lot of different school districts in the past 20 years. Newton's schools are by far the best. Great Students, Great Teachers, Great Community!
I don't believe this school deserves a 4 rating. Our TAKS scores are healthy and competitive with neighboring schools and our school climate is positive. It deserves at least an 8.
