My son attended Foster Village for the first time this year. He had Mr. Vaughn in first grade. Mr. Vaughn made great improvements in my son's reading ability. We have moved to another school district because of financial reasons. My son was sad to learn that he could not finish his first grade year with Mr. Vaughn. Great teachers!

I love my daughters' teachers. They really take the time to give them the help they need. It's like a family at Foster Village.

I love my daughter's teacher. She went the extra mile when my little girl was having problems. I abhor the drop off/pick up process. Would be happy to follow a procedure if they'd just pick one and stick with it. Sadly, most of the blame rests on the inconsiderate parents who are always in a rush. We were almost run over in the crosswalk in the parking lot. That's ridiculous.

Principal and admin are reluctant to return phone calls. I have had to call the Birdville Admin building to resolve issues. Whereas most schools have teachers outside to direct traffic and let out school in an orderly manner, the traffic seems to be a free-for-all and is truely a cause for concern. There are no real extracurricular activities yet the children are constantly bombarded with fundraisers and mine expressed that they were made to feel shamed when they did not participate in the fundraiser.

The principal is very dedicated to her teachers and kids. Second of all, traffic issues. The traffic problems are due to lack of compliance from the parents. They don't follow procedures at all. As for after school activities. It is an elementary school so there really are not too many; however, there is a Good News Club, Spring Fling Club and computer club. As for PTA and parent volunteers. Only parents can do that. The teachers are great. Foster Village is great

The principal seems distant and is hard to reach. There are major safety issues in the way the pick up of the children is handled. There are two lanes of traffic that weaves in and out of each line which makes the pick up difficult and unsafe. I have witnessed 2 wrecks. There are no extracurricular activities except for a constant stream of fund raising activities. Parents are not encouraged to be involved. The teachers however are very dedicated and will go the extra mile to ensure success of each child..

Foster Village is a GREAT school! The teachers are WONDERFUL! My kids started attending 3 years ago. I have had a child in every grade there since moving to the district. One of my kids is ADHD and could truly drive a preacher to drink some days. Since starting at FV, he has really blossomed. I know this wouldn't be possible if they didn't have the BEST TEACHERS you could find anywhere! My family suffered a couple of tragedies recently, and everyone there made our recovery a much easier process. The staff offered help that I didn't even know existed. The counselors worked with my kids on any issue they needed. My thanks and gratitude for everyone there could never totally be expressed in words.

My 8yr old son is currently in 3rd grade here. He was attending Grace Hardeman and doing poorly, but since being transferred to Foster Village he is doing wonderfully. Everyday he comes home and raves about his teacher and aide. His grades are now A's and he does not hate going to school anymore!
