I graduated from OHS in the late 90's, so my review is based on my experience. I loved going to a smaller school. You know everyone, kids stay out of trouble for the most part & you can pretty much participate in whatever sport or club you want to. The downside is that there weren't opportunities to take college credit courses or really challenge yourself academically. I would hope that changes have been made since then to help students transition more successfully to college and life as an adult.

I have been attending school in Odem all my life and it s ridiculous! This school is all about favorites and who knows who. For instance, I am ranked 8th in my class and i never got into the National Honor Society yet another student who is ranked 49th and failed all their TAKS tests 2 years in a row got inducted! I thought NHS had to do with academics, hmmm.....?

I went to Odem when I was young it helped me become a teacher that I am now. I now work in Odem and my kids go to the schools. This is one of the best schools in South Texas.
