Odessa Christian School has been such a blessing to our lives! We were very hesitant at first but my children have grown leaps and bounds not only in education but in their faith. My prayer is that by the time my children are ready to enter the 7th grade, that God will open a door for OCS and allow them to take on secondary education. Yes, the cost is high and the amount of fundraisers are a bit overwhelming, but what price can you put on your childs education? Our family thinks the negative far out way the positive and we are eager to watch our children blossom at OCS and in life thanks to the wonderful christian leadership they are receiving.

Odessa Christian does a good job of preparing the students for higher education with a priority of being good citizens and Godly people.

Personally, I believe that OCS is the right choice for my child. She has learned to read, to write in cursive, and to do math. I like the program that they use. Above all, she has learned about God, which seems to be a strict no-no in public schools. The teachers are strict when they need to be, and they show the children that they are loved as well. Yes, OCS is costly, but well worth it!! However, they do have too many fundraisers that parents have to participate. As far as the principal, Mrs. Woods, she does a wonderful job, and I believe her to be fair and just with all parents and students. All in all, Odessa Christian School is the only school that I want my child to attend. Gaye Carroll

The Abeka program is awesome, however the teachers lack the skills to teach it. The teachers are retired people who seem tired all the time. The teacher lack the passion it takes to teach the younger children. Ms. Green in pre-school is an exception to the rule, she really loves the kids and gives it all she's got! I love the chapel time in the morning, it puts God on the forefront.

Not worth the money. There are better public schools in the area. Most of the work being done is through workbooks that can be purchased and done at home.

Odessa Christian is WELL worth the money. I never dreamed that my Kindergartener would be writing cursive and reading books at such a young age. I love the one on one time that she gets with her teacher. Yes, it is costly, but it definitely beats going to a public school and the best part is that GOD is worked into the curriculum, whereas you wouldn't have that in a public school setting. Thanks OCS!!!

Odessa Chriatian is well worth the money. My son is in Kendergarten and you can not ask for a better teacher and staff. The kids feel saff and loved that makes for the best learning envirment. I give odessa Christian a must for your children!!!!

This is also my childrens' first year to attend Odessa Christian School. There are alot of hidden costs and the school could use a lot of improvement on the faculty. The supervision and discipline of the students is poor. Further, there is not much one-on-one teaching. I don't beleive I will be enrolling my children in this school for 2005, etc.

This is the first year my children have attended a private school, and frankly there are a lot of 'hidden' costs. Also, I thought there would be more of a one on one type of learning situation, but one teacher can not be one on one with 16 to 17 students in a class. I was afraid that people in private schools would be 'stuck up' and I am afraid that they have confirmed my fears. I am reconsidering the whole private school thing. I think my children would have been just as well in a public school.
