this school in my opinion is one of the worst in the world i would not put my child in it if it was the last school anywhere they are a joke they give the failed kids remediation classes with uncertified teachers its all about sports and if your tardy you have to walk all the way back to the damn office which takes more time out of the class the freshman academy is not something that is great they dont try to help the students if yoy ask for help they say go look in the book instead of helping this school is a joke and would not recommend it to anyone for any reason a group of students turned in a student who had a knife the principal said he would talk to him but he never did thats putting lives in danger he could have easily killed anyone

Politics, Politics, Politics is all I can say. School is difficult enough without all the drama that the faculty creates at LC-M. I wouldn't send another kid of mine to LC-M if it was the last school in TX.

I have had two children graduate from this school already and still have one in the school at this time. I have seen this school go down hill and will be so glad when my last one graduates. This school cares more about football than anything else. This yr 2006-07 the kids have to go to the office if they are tardy so therefore they loose more time in the classroom, I guess the admin. does not trust the teachers. They also care more about the dress code than they care about mine and all the other students education. Please lets get back to the real thing I Is Called Education. They are also rewarding the teachers for sending students to sack, now that is a joke.

This school is a great opportunity for parents to get involved. The have a very progressive special education program. Truely a child first geared school.

Principal is unprofessional in his dealings with both parents and students. There is a bias toward athletics, sometimes to the point of detriment to other programs. Inconsistency if the quality of teachers and their use - uncertified teachers teaching Honors &/or AP classes while certified, highly qualified teachers are teach regular or remedial classes. Preferential treatment given to those students who are perceived to bring good publicity to the school. If the student is a motivated self-starter they can get a quality education, however they have to be the one asking questions and pushing the issue. The entire staff - Administrative, Counselors & Teachers - are not agressive enough about opportunities available for the students. I would identify myself except that I still have family in the school.

The principal is a real politic. Athletics is the most important thing about the school, even though football never wins. Uncertified teachers teaching Honors or AP classes while certified teachers teach regular or lower grade classes. I am a current student at LC-M, Class of 2004, so I know what I am talking about.
