The leadership is weak at this campus, and discipline is bad because of that. Drugs are NOT a part of West Orange-Cove schools. If they were found, which, I never heard about, as a student of the district, it was in one of the bi-monthly drug searches held by OPD. In my long tenure as a student, nothing has turned up... and if anything did, I can assure everyone that I would know. The district is coming back up... but I unfortunately have to say that this campus is going to be the link that breaks the chain.
The principal is a good guy that tries hard to make this a good school. The teachers are excellent. However, many of the students are uncontrollable. In the past few years police had to be called on several occasions due to a student attacking a teacher and drugs were found some students. If you have a choice, move to another district.
This school has too many behavioral problems. My child is in advanced classes, so she doesn't have to deal with this, but from what I know, it has some serious problems. There are bad TAKS test scores, some are good, most aren't though. I don't really recommend it.
