Detention for a child for an UNOPENED piece of candy shows the level of arrogant big brother mentality in a school district. The excuses given to defend the actions are lame at best. The administration of this school, and district should be , but won't be ashamed of themselves.

Placing a third-grader in detention for one week for possessing one small piece of candy shows the arrogance and incompetence of this school's administrators. Childhood should be a happy time, not an encounter with jackbooted egotists who call themselves educators.

Brazos has a majority of fine teachers, but groups some children in classes that have many discipline problems. This traps children so that they are unfairly denied opportunities.

The only time you are informed of an issue is when they think the issue may cause a problem for the school. The teachers are very nice but nice does not provide your child with an excellent education. If you are looking for a school that is ordinary Brazos is the school for you.

I really like Brazoz Elementary for my children's school. I feel it is much safer and doesn't have the extra dangers that some of the 'town' public schools encounter. My children are both doing Very Well in this school. Both are accelerated readers and on the honor roll. They are in 2nd grade and Kindergarten.

Brazos Elementary does not challenge my child academically. The teachers are very nice but having nice teachers does not help my child excel.

There are wonderful teachers in Brazos elementary who inspire their students and this is a very safe campus for our children to attend.
