The teachers are very experienced and dedicated to the success of the students. However, the expectations for the students are not developmentally appropriate and this causes a great amount of frustration for parents and students alike. The principal runs the school like a business. The teachers are assembly line workers and the students are products. The only hope for the school is that there be a change in the administration at Southside.
I have two children currently enrolled at Southside. We have had a great experience. Committed teachers and staff. Excellent fine arts program.
I was very disappointed in the school this year. I put my son in Palestine because it was supposed to be the best. The quality of academic programs were sorry. I volunteered to help for every party and function that was held and was never contacted by the teacher or the school. The only thing I can say good was the sports and music sections of the school. I do not recommend that parents look to put their kids here!
