This school is doing a great job of developing critical thinking skills with my granddaughter. I have been very pleased with their International Baccalaureate program and with the work she is coming home with as a third grader. They are doing a great job with her brother who has autism as well. His Kindergarten teacher is awesome.

My daughter was an original transfer to the IB program at Massey and we have been bitterly disappointed. After 4 years the only Spanish she knows is Hola! As a whole, Massey offers very few extracurricular activities compared to the other elementary schools. The music teacher is not qualifiedm and the entire staff is completely focused on the TAKS test. I honestly believe the only thing my daughter learned in 4th grade is how to take the TAKS test. Overall, PISD is not a district of excellence. If you are looking for high quality academics or the arts, Pearland is not the school district for you.

I am very pleased and blessed to have my kids in this school. All the resources are great and my kids are enjoying this school. My kindergarden student has learned to read and he never attended pre-k and I thought he would struggle. Great work Massey, parents, reading buddies and all volunteers!

I have two children that attend Massey Ranch Elementry and I am very disappointed in the education they are receiving. We were rezoned to this school after 2 years at Silvercrest and have seen a notable difference in my oldest daughter's growth. I have even had to put her in private tutoring so that she could be taught the basics in Math that she did not get in second and third grade attending Massey Ranch. I have been concerned that the teachers are pushed to teach for the Taks test and that is the main focus of the school. It is so pushed in the upper grade levels that my daughter has developed test anxiety and crys everytime she has to take one.

I am personally impressed with the education at Massey Ranch. My son attends Kindergarten (Mrs. Duncan is the best) and he has learned SO much...and such a wide variety of things. In the last 2 months, my son has gone from being unable to read to reading level 1 and 2 books, expressing enthusiasm with learning, adding, and the like. He impresses me with some of the facts that he brings home. So, kuddos to all the teachers at MRE and for everything that they do for our children. If you saw the amount of work that goes into developing our children and how much of their personal time that they put into our childrens' learning after hours, I think that everyone will agree that teachers are to be praised for the work they do with our children.

My daughter currently attends Massey Ranch, but we are actively seeking a private alternative because we are very disappointed with the level of education she is receiving. We did not appreciate her former school until she transferred to Massey after a move. The goal of the day for the vast majority of the students in her class is to make it to the end of the day without a bad conduct mark. The class is out of control and my daughter is not learning.

We transferred our daughter to another school after attending Massey Ranch. She was not challenged academically. As a parent, I was not allowed to observe my daughter's class even though I routinely spent more than 10 hours every week at the school doing volunteer work. I consider the school to be just average academically even though they advertise they are an IB candidate school.

My two children attend Massey Ranch and I could not be happier with their education. Our school is dedicated to our kids and with the strong leadership of our principal our school has become a great place to learn. Our parents are involved and supportive of our staff which makes our school feel like a family. The teachers are dedicated and do an exceptional job with our students. Our family is very fortunate to attend such a great school.
