The School is very large, then again so are all of the high schools in Pearland. It is next to Pearland high school so the kids are able to take certain classes with the upper class-men. I don't know if this is true for all of the Pearland high schools, but there seems to be two "tracks" for education, Regular and AP. The regular classes seem more like they are just trying to get the kids through. I don't believe they are to challenge the kids just get them through the course. The AP classes are the way to go if you want your kids to be challenged. The good news is at this level anyone can sign up for AP classes. I do have one note of caution, if there is any subject your child is not strong in, do not sign them up for that AP class they will only get frustrated. There are so many miserable kids there whose parents made them sign up for all AP and they are struggling to get by in their weakest subjects.

In 2012-2013, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was used to test students in English language arts and mathematics in grade 11. The grade 11 exit Level TAKS is a high school graduation requirement. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
