I had two kids in this school and I feel bad why I sent my kids to there. The decipline in the school is not appropriate for kids age. There is limited art class in their curriculum (ex: no play-dough, no water coloring,..). The physical activity time is limited. They are pushing young kids to read and write. There is nothing about Montessori! The teacher is on the center and kids have to listen.

My son has been attending the MSODT since 2008. He is getting an excellent education. For his age he should be starting kindergarten this year but MSODT places kids according their ability and not their age. While in MSODT K he tested in the 2nd and 3rd grade on the Stafford test. If he would have enter the public school this year for K he would have been board. He is doing weekly spelling test, learning cursive, reading, 2 digit addition, graphing and much more. My only complaint is sometimes they don't inform parents of class events until the week before and sometimes days before.

My son has been attending this school for 4 years and we love it. He is reading, telling time, doing math, science fair projects and lots of oral reports. I feel this school has instilled a great amount of confidence in my son that will last throughout his education process and into his career!

My son is happy when he is dropped off and when I pick him up. The place is bright and well lit, and the caregivers/teachers seem knowledgeable. Children do not watch TV during the pic-kup or drop-off times. Parents of babies and young toddlers can bring any milk bottles/formula bottles, drinks, and food. Kids are instructed in English and Spanish. Now the bad part: money. The monthly fees are high, on the top of monthly fees are supply fees, on the top of that is yearly signup fee, and on the top of that... fundraisers. The school always seems to ask for money to, as they say, improve training of teachers. But the latest addition is a plasma TV in the lobby that displays kids photos. Teacher training aid? Hardly.

My son has been attending this campus for two years now. When I orginally enrolled him at this school, he was two years old and could not speak at all. I decided this type of school would be best to help him with his speech development since I could not seem to help him. I almost took him out after about four months because I hadn't noticed any improvement. Soon after I decided to keep him there, I noticed a vast improvement. He started to show that he could understand what I was saying, and he could repeat words back to me more clearly. Currently, my son is four years old. He knows all of his continents, can do simple math, is starting to read, and many other things that I really couldn't believe! Everyday he comes home and tells me all of the things he did during the day.

My daughter went to this school for 1 year. It is terrible. They don't teach much. It is more like a bad day-care than a regular school. The administration is terrible. They are very money minded.

Terrible. My daughter was in pre-k here after we moved for 8 months. She was not learning anything new and in fact forgot everything that she already learned before. Way too many children in the class. We withdrew her and she is already showing a huge improvement. They seem to take as many children as they can so that they can see larger profits.

Montessori school of DT is big disappointment. They only care about the money and not about the welfare of the children. The food for the kids is terrible. They don t follow the real philosophy of Montessori schools. Their academic level is really low compare to most schools in Houston areas. So kids are really behind when they are transfer from this school to another or go to middle school from this school. The classrooms are really small for the teacher/student ration that they have. This school does not follow board policies and makes it extremely difficult to receive information on how you children are doing. Communication is very lacking at this school
