We moved to this area in Fall 2013 but weren't sure if we should move the kids from their charter school to this school. After visiting parent night and talking with the principal for 30 minutes, I was sold, and we are so happy with our decision. The school worked with us on placing our kids in classrooms where their temperaments would match the teachers. My kindergardener had a great year, learned to read like a champ, was always so excited to do his homework, and the special assignments were creative and involved the family. My 3rd grader excelled and the teacher recognized her need for more advanced work, getting her in to the gifted & talented program by the end of the school year. Her teacher made an individual connection with each child, deftly balancing the work load among different levels of learning. The school is a great community, with lots of attendees at every school-wide event. The music programs were well-rehearsed & interesting. Everything is designed to hone good academic skills. It's a perfect neighborhood school. 20:1 student to teacher ratio. Exemplary balanced diversity. No bullying. My only complaint is no yearbook (to preserve student privacy.)
Timmerman has seen better years, has good reputation and is a good school, I have 2 kids that attend the school and they love it.
Great school!!! Ms. Cragie is the best K- teacher in Texas! Thanks for all you do Timmerman!
We love TES. What a great environment. Ms. Winkler and the 1st grade class teachers are wonderful. P.R.I.D.E is embedded in their core values.
My son is in Mrs Burgess class. and I am happy with her. she is an awesome 3rd grade teacher.
My family and I recently moved to this state and choose Timmerman as our school of choice. Both of our girls have always been A students, my fourth grader still is but my second grader is in Ms. Burgess class and now she has become an below average student. The school is great but my question is why are you looking at only my child when you should also be looking into the teachers way of helping a new student get adjusted. This teachers classroom is so unorganized and full of disrupted kids, its hard for my child in particular to stay focused on learning. I've called, sent notes but only get responses back through my email days later. I'm frustrated to the point even if this is a good school that one teacher has me looking into transferring my girls to another school.
Unfortunately my Daughters 3rd grade experience in Ms. Conly class has been a rough and rocky one. We have had many issues with this teacher. Not a very pleasant teacher to say the least. Have had to take my daughter to the Doc several times due to stress anxiety with this teacher. My daughter has came home upset and crying many times. The School seems great, but every school has some bad apple i suppose.
Timmerman Elementary is a fantastic school all around.... academically, socially and in all special areas! The kids love it, the teachers love it and the parents love it. It is a true community.
This school is great! I like the way they teach study skills and not just the material. The students learn to think, and not just memorize. And, it's small enough that everyone knows each other -- very much like a family!
It is the best elemantary school in the City of pflugerville. It has been rated Examplerary every year and the teachers are just awesome. Their goal is to make sure every kids do their best to learn and do great not just getting ready for TAKS.
Timmerman is wonderful. I have a son in Kindergarten and have been impressed since the beginning. His teacher, Ms Craigie, is totally involved in each child's activities and improvement. This is a teacher who is dedicated to teaching. I hear similar views of the other Kindergarten teachers. Every teacher/member of staff is readily approachable, including the principal, Mr Ernest. My son loves the school and is excited about the many projects and activites that are set up for the kids.
This school is awsome!! It has an wonderful caring principle and some great first - third grade teachers. My children have had great teachers and I think this helps them want to get up and go to school and learn. I didn't understand it until I met the staff. Good Job Timmerman.
TES is a great school for all students. The kids learn: period. The teachers care, the kids know the teachers and principals. A true small school/community oriented enviornment. TES is the best because of the staff, kids and parents. It just works.
Timmerman Elementary is a great place to learn. The teachers really care about your child being successful.
Parental Involvement is excellent at Timmerman. My daughter is going into fourth grade and she loves the feeling of community at Timmerman. She has made close bonds with her friends. We had excellent years in K through 2nd grade. Timmerman may focus too much on TAKS preparation to the detriment of students
I have a fourth grader and first grader and we just love the parent/teacher involvement. there always seems to be something going on to help the kids learn in different ways. nature walks in kinder and visits to the pumkin patch in first and several other hands on field trips. they also have a new program that teaches math with hands on. my first grader has been reading since mid-kinder. thanks to pflugerville schools thanks timmerman
The teachers and staff of this school have helped the children 'own' their education. They have academic 'pep' rallies where kids (and parents)go wild for each other for getting good grades and having good attendance. My child is excited about school. I don't have to get on her case about getting home work done. I never hear 'I don't want to go to school today'. I believe the time spent here is excellent preparation for college in a few years. Who knows? Maybe my child is just exceptional. In light of that then, we are fortunate to have her in an exceptional school.
My son has atttended Timmerman for 2 years now including Kindergarten and First Grade. We have been very pleased with the structure the school provides as well as the well rounded curriculum. The school has a no nonsense attitude that has helped my son to focus and excel in both readingin and math.
My daughter atttended theis school in her 1st semester of 3rd grade. She was changed to this school because the school districts had changed. She went from a great school to another great school. he loved her teacher Mrs. Vallez. There was a hell of alot of school involvement, parental involvement, and teacher and principal involvement. I have never known a principal so nice. friendly, and loved all the students. She even so far as dressing up as a clown because she lost a contest to the kids. I believe she even kissed a pig in front of the entire student body. This school was great! My only complaint is the parking lot is too small and the traffic picking up or dropping off your children is horrible.
