Lakeside is one of the best schools my child has attended. Parental involvement is always welcome. My son's experience this year was excellent. He had the needed interventions to help him succeed. He has never been commended on his TAKS test and this year he was commended on both his reading and math TAKS. The administration is always willing to listen to parents. As my son started his transition to this single grade campus he was welcomed by touring the campus. He also attended a Jumpstart camp which gave him the confidence he needed to be successful. I would rate this campus as excellent and believe that as a parent if you get involved in your child's's education they can be successful. My hat is off to Lakeside for an excellent school year and will tell any other parent not to be fearful of your child's transition to 5th grade.

My daughter attends Lakeside. The quality of the academic program is good, however, I feel it should be excellent. Personally, for my daughter, the curriculm is appropriate. In general, the school should strive for excellency for every student. Based on my observances, I believe the school could better apply itself to accommodate all students. Some students are not at a level where they should be. I am satisfied with my daughter's teachers, principal, and most employees at Lakeside. We, parents, have no choice of where our children attend 5th grade. Unless we choose home school or private school.
