This is my daughters 2nd year. She loves the band and the sport she is in. They do tend to be very competitive, but isnt the world they are going into. The teachers do tend to be young, but knowledgeable. She loves it and we have no discipline problems.

The staff has a huge turnover rate - close to 70 percent in the last 3 years. Principal is ineffective and punitive. The remaining staff with the exception of a few, is young and inexperienced. Rice would be a much better choice.

I love schiempfenig middle school! It's well layed out and has an excellent staff!

This is a wonderful school. The turnover rate for teachers is very low and indicates that the leadership here is superior. The teachers tend to be older and have lots of patience with these kids. I believe that middle school is possibly the most difficult time for kids and the teachers here are great with them, respecting them through this difficult transistion to adulthood.
