My 5 year old goes to this school. After 3 months, my conclusion is this school is better than most privates

Great teachers. As a parent I feel a little detached from the school. Some times it seems we are not allowed to be too involved. Lots of money in this school which makes it nice, but some of the parents are way too pretentious.

Nice affluent school. They push the children a little too hard. Too much home work and too much learning at once.

Brinker is a community in and of itself. The PTA is extremely active, and the teachers/faculty really care about the kids and working directly with parents. Academically, the school is quite challenging.

Brinker has gone through 3 principals in 3 years. Many of Plano ISD's experienced principals were forced into retirement in 2004 due to a tax law. This caused Plano ISD to promote inexperienced principal interns into the vacancies. 2004-2005 has been a difficult transitional year for Brinker with our new inexperienced principal. I do not feel that our new principal has the experience to understand the impact of parent volunteers or that she appreciates their value. Maybe she will learn this over time, but it has been a tough year.

Brinker is awesome! My family and I recently relocated to Plano from another state,and we choose Plano because of it's 'Recognized' state rating. Brinker's rating is 'Exemplary' and well deserved. The entire faculty works hard and they believe in striving for sucess. My child's teacher helped her transition to a new school sucessful. She enjoys school and adores her new teacher and friends. The schools PTA is very supportive.

This has been an excellent school for my child. Brinker challenges academically in a nurturing environment. It helps its students become self learners, encourages creativity and teaches them how to shine. I just love this school!
