Most of the teachers are great. Counselor and one of the teachers need a bit of work, with communication, and treating people as equal.

This school is one of the best in the Dallas metroplex. Whenever my child seems to be struggling, teachers and tutorials are there for her. The school is known for its exemplarily test scores and I am very proud to have my child grow up at Renner.

Renner Middle School is an outstanding school. The students tend to be very motivated and happy, and just generally nice kids! The teachers are hard-working professionals who truly want the best for the child. The Administration is outstanding; the former principal chosen a regional Principal of the Year. It is a top-achieving school; and students are challenged to become their best. I would say a good 98% of the parents are supportive and involved, (and make the best casseroles for teacher appreciation week!)

Renner Middle School is a tremendous example of why America deserves a voucher system for school choice. Weak administration. Lazy (most)teachers. Teachers pile on homework and expect the parents to partner with them, yet take no responsibility for the child s performance. If your child can march in their Stalinistic system, and if you re prepared to be a full time teacher, your children may do well. Our sons scored 'commended' on the state 'TAKS' test, but are able only to muster by with marginal grades. Grading has much more to do with behavior rather than substance. Mastery of material is secondary to style and teaching to the TAKS test. Having no online system to empower parents with the ability to monitor homework is inexcusable given the tax base in this community.
