Most of the teachers are very involved in helping the children grow. The principal is always available and she takes your opinion into account. The teacher/student ratio is small and the teachers are available before, during and after school. This school teaches the TAKS curriculum very strongly. Lots of extra curricular activities, but you have to really be involved to find out when and what they are.

As a parent, I believe this school has a lot of potential for our children. I would like to have my children less involved in several fundraisers at the beginning of the school year (at least for those children under the 3rd grade). I believe it takes away from them focusing on learning after school because they feel pressured to do well in these extra activities. I believe in fundraisers, but it has always gotten in the way of my children's after school activities when they are just getting started in K-3. I am a single mother of 2 who are below 3rd grade and it is very hard to keep a tight grip on good study habits with so many fundraisers being sent home. My children come home feeling obligated to sell from these catalogs and I am trying to stress that studying comes first.
