No communication, low tolerance for children with learning differences, easily offended, will not to listen to parent suggestions, low interest in children's individual learning success; goals revolve around state ranking. This school is way under par when compared to other schools my children attended. We have contacted the principle several times with NO response. The spelling teacher graded my child s work and marked something wrong which was correct. I had to correct HER grading the work. Math work isn't graded. As long as it's turned in, it counts. Why is that? GPISD is goal driven to be come a top ranked public school district in the state so if your child has any learning difference that needs extra time or that may bring down their scores, they are an obstacle to that goal. We were told that by the counselor.If you are reading this and will be moving to this area do not move in this schools boundary. They will inundate you with their problems and concerns yet never respond to yours, creating an unequal platform for parent/teacher communication in the best interest of the children, which in the end is what it should all be about but unfortunately not with WCA Elementary.
