Amount of homework: Just right

They really try to promote students completing work in class. Homework is minimal and reasonable. No work is sent home on Wednesday nights or if school events are scheduled on weeknights (PTF meetings, school performances, etc.).

Students respect the teachers and staff and it shows by the way they behave and treat the school property.

There is a strong emphasis on integrating Christian values throughout the curriculum and applying it in each subject, not just lip service in a religion course. It is modeled by teachers, staff, and students in everyday life.

Academics are strong. Environment is nurturing and welcoming. Teachers have many years of tenure and low turnover; that says a lot!

I am very thankful for the staff, teachers, department heads, school board and headmaster of OCS. They truly care about the students both academically and spiritually. The staff and teachers build relationships with the students that continue well past high school graduation.

95% of the teachers my students have had at OCS were wonderful. The other 5% were not.

I would like to say BIG THANKS to all of the coaches. They are all great role models and very nurturing in our children's development. We could not ask for better people in our sports programs.

Yes, being a small school makes them work harder to match up to other schools. Especially during competitions.

I think they show it to the children and the children are the same towards the school.
