I think this school is tryin its hardest to improve itself. They have a new principal and she is trying her hardest to bring this school up. Look at the taks scores!! they improved. Keep up the good work, you are coming a long, long way!!

Do not, do not, do not send your child to this school unless you want them to ruin them. This shcool has a way of turning perfectly good students into slackers and troublemakers. The teachers have a tendancy to give up on their students, and the office management has a tendancy not to care.

My child injoys the sports programs, though the coaching is so-so in his sport. If at all possible, put your child in AP classes. The academics are better, as is the character of the students. However, the amount of busy work in AP is ridiculous. At BHS, they do not seem to want to help the students succeed, i.e. many things are difficult to do. For example, if a student needs to consult with a teacher before school, he cannot unless he thought to obtain a hall pass the day before. If questions came up during homework, he is unable to see the teacher. No, I do not recommend this school.

I would not suggest this school to anybody in the district, try going to Dulles or Austin.

If you can avoid sending your child to this school, please do. Choose another nearby school, such as Austin High School. The student safety at Bush is not exactly the best, and while there are some excellent teachers, the students never seem to progress.
