Had to pull my daughter out of this school because of the enormous bullying problems that went ignored. Both her and I were bullied by office staff over a personal private medical matter. I now homeschool and my daughter has moved up a grade level and is much more confident. Do not reccommend this school.

My son's best friend goes to this school. His friend says he is bullied all the time and no one does anything about it. This issue needs to be addressed right away.

The teachers here are great, however, there is a huge bullying problem at the school that I do not feel is taken care of very well. If it were not for these bullies my child would have a great experience and love going to school. When my child heard rumors that were spreading about being a prostitute of all things and reported it, the counselor tried to bully her into blaming a male friend for starting the rumors. I was never once contacted about this, I had to learn it all from my daughter and her friend's parents. She was made to feel bad about herself because of others bad behavior and no longer trusts the office staff to help her if she feels threatened. If it were not for this, I would rate the school higher because it is an excellent school, but my child's safety and comfort are high priority as well.

Both of my children attended Rockport-Fulton Middle School. they were very prepared for high school and college. I couldn't ask for a better atmosphere or more caring teachers.

I went to RFMS when I was 13 and man it was fun! The band director was so awesome he really knew how to have fun at pep rallies. I recommend this school for any one who likes small towns and friendly people where everyone knows everyone. Literally.

my fourteen year old attends rockport middle school,and I couldn't ask for a better place for him to attend,the teachers really care ,the principles ,and counselors ,all really try to make my childs experiences there good ones,I tell everyone I know just how great I think the rockport school system is. The school I believe strives to let your child work to his or her potential,and encourages creativity ,as well as personality ,and uniqueness, my child is very lucky to be here. We have had to be in different states ,and a nearby town ,where he didn't get the kind and helping attitudes that he gets here,and I just think that this is the best place to put your child to get a wonderful education with such wonderful people and staff.

About the tests


In 2012-2013, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) was used to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in science in grades 5 and 8; in social studies in grade 8; and end-of-course assessments for English I, II, and II, Algebra I and II, biology and US History. STAAR is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

The different student groups are identified by the Texas Education Agency; if there are a small number of students in a particular group, the state doesn't report data for that group.
