We love Grace Hartman!! This is our 3rd year there and my kids are still happy to be part of this wonderful school. Parental involvement and teacher quality are great.
Unprofessional, uncaring staff with very poor leadership. Please think carefully before buying a home zoned for this school and sending your child here.
This is our 2nd year at Grace Hatman and I can not say enough about our experience. My son has challenges that were recognized and diagnosed by this attentive and caring staff! I am so grateful that we moved into such an amazing school district. I also have to add that our PTA does a great job, communication is spot on and they allow you to be as involved as much or as little as you want.
This was the best school. The teachers are so genuine and caring. The office staff was great. WE LOVE MRS. BATES! She was the best teacher ever!
I went to Grace Hartman for 2 years and I wouldn't have changed it for the world itself. I had the most wonderful experience and would like to thank everybody there!
This is my 3rd year at Grace Hartman and I am truly disappointed. The communication has been very poor all 3 years and the teachers do not follow the district wide curriculum guide. The teachers are not personable and overall unhelpful. I have never seen the principal although the assistant principal is very friendly and can be seen daily actively helping students.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this school. It runs itself with the wonderful staff, great teachers, great students and involved parents. I have never had a problem with a teacher in five years. My third child started school this year and my oldest is at the high school now. The teachers have all been great, experienced ones as well as the first year teachers. I feel like the administration hires good quality teachers for this school. We are very happy and love our school!
My oldest son attended the tuition-based Pre-K program at Hartman in 2004. The program is awesome and my son loves reading and learning. He is now at Cullins-Lake Pointe and is heads above the class. I would suggest finding the tuition-based Pre-K at the new elementary schools and signing your children up immediately!
We have loved this school. I was a little leary bringing my child from a private school setting but the school has been wonderful. The school's administration is so organized and loving. The parent involvment is also incredible. We could not have been happier with a public school.
My son goes to K at Grace Hartman and loves it. It's a newer school (3 years old) and well staffed. The class size is small and the teachers all seem very enthused and dedicated to the kids. Both my wife and I participate in the various school activities and the school always makes it easy for us to do so.
My son is in kindergarten at Grace Hartman. He adores his teacher, Ms, Matthys, which is saying a lot for him. He came from Montessori where they were quite strict in a negative manner. At Hartman, they use positive reinforcement which is exactly what my son needed. He no longer argues with me every day about having to get ready and go to school. The only thing that I wish they would change is the option for there to be an all-day program for the parents that want it. I would even be willing to pay extra for his to have that additional time. Otherwise, this school is wonderful!
My child has attended Grace Hartman's tuition based Pre-K program. I highly recommend the program. After shopping around and sampling preschools in Rockwall, I found RISD's program to be superior. They have a great teacher--certified in early childhood ed and with lots of energy and enthusiasm. They use a great mix of learning techniques. They spend some time working at their tables, listening as a group, and engaging in group play. They are beginning to read, write, and do simple arithmetic. If you want your child to ace kindergarten, send them here!
This school is excellent. My child attended the tuition based Pre-K this year and I can not say enough good things about it. The principal is extremely involved and the school runs very smooth. I have been in other schools in the district and have yet to see one as organized as this one.
This is a great school! My son attended the tuition-based Pre-K class and I have nothing but great things to say about the teacher and the school. The class sizes are just right and the Principal is very involved. Parental involvement is very high at this school.
