This school is amazing! My daughter will complete her first year at this school in June. You cannot find a better teacher than Ms. Childers in first grade! She has been absolutely fantastic with my child and has shown genuine interest in ensuring this school year has run smoothly. My daughter really bloomed in all class subjects, and has developed a wonderful self-confidence that was not present before attending this school. The principal is a very involved leader as well. Thank you to the CLP staff and faculty!
We moved to Texas a year ago from Maryland. I was worried because the schools are much larger and I still wanted my children to get quality personal attention. CLP is an outstanding school. The principal is outstanding and very caring. The teachers are wonderful and really care for the kids. Even being at the school for the first year, it still felt like everyone knew my children. Ms. Alvarez is the perfect kindergarten teacher. My son was also in the special education program and he flourished. During the year he learned to read! this given the fact that the previous year his teachers could barely teach him his colors. I'm so impressed and would recommend this school to anyone who is considering a move to the DFW area.
DCLP is a fantastic school, everyone loves the kids they teach like their own. We have a lot of activities and classes for the kids that aren't offered everywhere. They also encourage parental involvment more than i've found elsewhere and even allow parents who want to volunteer to come in with smaller children who are always welcomed in the classroom.
My family moved to this area 6 months ago---the teacher and faculity are outstanding. My son has cerebral palsy and they are incredible with him.
Cullins Lake-Pointe is a wonderful school in our district. The administration, teachers and staff truly believe that all students can succeed. The attitude is 'whatever it takes' to help the child. We are very fortunate to have dedicated parents that regularly volunteer and help our school. There is a sense of family when you step inside our doors -- we may be large , but there is a unique sense of relationships that is felt inside.
I love this school it has been great to my son. We moved three years ago and it has been a great school. My son will now be entering 5th grade this year and he is looking foward to it
One or both of my children have attended Cullins for the past 7 years and I have always been very pleased and proud for my children to attend Cullins. The principal, teachers and staff are top notch. My son just graduated from Cullins to Junior High last year and my daughter is now in the first grade at Cullins. My Son has Dyslexia/ADHD and they have helped him tremendously over the years. You can't beat Cullins Lakepointe
This school is excellent all the way around. Where else does the principal stand at the front door every morning and greet each and every child? My child is learning disabilities and dyslexia, and this school was quick to get to the bottom of it so he could get the help he needed as soon as possible. Everyone there is always very, very positive. My only complaint is the lack of the subject of 'handwriting' at this school. Handwriting is not a subject, and I was told by many employees of the school that is just 'briefly' introduced after I brought the subject up because my son writes so badly. Other than that, though, this school is wonderful.
As a parent with a high maintenance child,I was very impressed witht he level of involvement from the admin. Staff. They kept me very involved w my sons performance, behavior and called regular meetings w me to discuss his progress. Had some attitude issues w some ofthe 6th grade teaching staff, but all in all I was very pleased with the handling of my son.
My son is in the 6th grade. It is a wonderful school. Very happy we moved to the area. Strong leadership; adminstration is top notch.
Great school!! The teachers are very caring and there is a lot of parent involvement. Cullins has a Spanish program, as well as, computer class, art, music, and PE.
This school was very safe for my child. My child enjoyed many of the music, art, sports and other exracurricular activites they had to offer. There is a lot of fun and learning going on at Lake Pointe-Cullins.
Cullins has great extracurricular activities. This includes one of the only schools in RISD with a full time spanish teacher! Parent involvement is high too.
My children have attended CLP for 5 years. I would like to say that this school is top notch. From the Principal to the teachers, they take their responsibility of teaching the kids and being great role models very serious. My son's teacher, Ms. McGovern has a passion for teaching like I have never seen. The school offers so much for the kids, art, music, band in 6th grade, health education in PE. It's just incredible. We recently found out that we are moving to another state and I am finding out just how much other schools do not have! Thank you Cullins-Lake Pointe for 5 great years of education with integrity.
