900 out of 2100 are failing academically. The teachers don't really care about the students. Just the fact that their getting the money they're working 'so hard' for.

Concern for the students is rather low academically speaking. While the Athletic depts receive an inordinate amount of funding, Academic programs are often unable to afford Scantrons to take tests on, and funding for extracurriculars which are not pet projects of the Admin is almost nil.

San Angelo Central High School has no leadership.... The principal doesn't take time to learn names and get to know leaders in his school, that is top students and student council president and leaders. The students doing well and deserving recognition get very little. The kids who graduate from this school and do well do so because of their own desires and parents not because of the schools programs and or leaders or lack there of.

This school is good for those who fit the 'mold'. My child does not and never has. The 'At Risk Program' is a joke.

I am disappointed in this school. I feel the school is too large and too open for faculty to manage and insure it is safe for all students. I also feel that a student will do well if they are a student who can stay focused. Those that don't receive a poor education. Many students are lost and fall through the cracks. I feel the school and school board prefer to have a large school for the athletic benefits.
