I sent both of my children here from elementary to middle school but decided to pull them out after 8th. This school has little AP and no dual credit. Both of my children went on to excellent schools having accumulated 2 full semesters worth of college credit that they would simply would not have been able to do at SACS (which saves money). Most of the parents and teachers I had come in contact with had been wonderful, caring people. But be warned, this school is extremely religious and with that they pack on the judgement. I was disgusted at their refusal to let a woman parent on the Board of Trustees because of some Bible verse claiming that women are subservient and men should be in leadership positions. This is the twenty-first century and the message that sent to my daughter was unacceptable and was one of the contributing factors as to why I withdrew them. Many wives stay home at this school and I watched as they judged the women who worked, were single parents, or divorced. The teachers also teach more Biblical science as opposed to factual science and openly assert in class that the Republican party is correct, as opposed to giving the kids the facts and letting them decide

Both of my children attended SACS K-12. The oldest is a freshman in college and the youngest is getting ready to graduate. It has been a great experience. I am continually amazed at their spritual maturity. Their knowledge of truth and their solid belief in the Bible is worth every penny. Academically they have received a great education as well. My older child was accepted into a very competative college and has done well her first year. No school is perfect but overall this school's heart is in the right place!

I graduated from SACS in 2004 and am beginning my senior year of college at the University of North Texas. I started at SACS as a junior in high school, and was quickly accepted by the faculty and my peers. I was amazed at the menoring relationships formed between the students and teachers. I doubt there are many schools where the bond is so sincere and so deep. Academically, this school is stellar, and I can attest that I was fully prepared (even OVERprepared) for college. I felt that my senior year at SACS was even harder than my first year at a university. I played soccer, sang in the praise band and served on student council while at SACS--all activities that allowed me to be ahead of the game when applying for college. SACS is an amazing school, and it's paying dividends in my life today.

This is our 5th year at SACS and it just keeps getting better! We have one in high school, one in middle school, and 4 in the elementary. Each school's administration, as well as the leaders in the Central Office, are absolutely awesome. They are very knowledgeable in their fields and are always ready to pray with &/or for you. The rules and regulations are very age appropriate. This year I am coaching so I get to see 'the inside' (faculty & staff) of the schools. Wow, what godly people! I had always assumed that but now I can attest! The teachers & coaches sincerely love the Lord and their students. They all were led by Him to SACS, from what I keep hearing. The majority of the students are involved in extracurricular activities (and the Band is growing!)which enhance their learning and spirit. The new guard is great for security.

Teachers are very involved with students. The teacher/student ratio is low. There are many speciality classes from Kinder on,i.e, Art, Spanish, Computer, Physical Education, Music. Well rounded school...

The academics at SACS are difficult but they really do serve the school well. The integration of the Bible into the school ciriculum is outstanding and has really helped my spiritual growth. There are a wide range of extra-cirricular activities. SACS regualarly takes district titles. This year saw SACS recieve two state titles, one in soccer and one in Newspaper. The parent involvement at this school is amazing. This review was written by a junior at SA Christian High School.

My children have been at SACS for a number of years and we have generally been very pleased with our experience. The upside: SACS is not sponsored by a church, so its policies are not dictated by a sole entity. The downside: SACS is not sponsored by a church, so doctrine can be somewhat watered-down so as to not offend SACS families, who represent a wide variety of churches and denominations. SACS is definitely colege-preparatory, but places high priority on the spiritual and athletic development of its students as well. As a large private school, it offers a wide variety of choices for involvement, including every major sport and several minor ones, student council, band, journalism, etc. Parental involvement is fairly high, especially in the elementary school. The administrators of the elementary, middle, and high schools are all fairly new and have recently introduced some very positive changes to the campus.

Our kids have been students since p-k. They are 4th and 1st grade now (05-06). We are very pleased. The caring for the students is top down from the 'headmaster' to the cleaning staff. There certainly is plenty of religious instruction. My only concern is (since my kids will go through 12th grade there), are the academics enough. The colleges/university seniors go to range from top tier state schools to some lower tiers schools. We hope that is a product of choice (read economics) and not ability. That said we are very pleased and are 'voting' for the school by sending our kids (and our money) there through 12th grade.

The San Antonio Christian Lion Pride band is excellent. There is a 6th grade band as well as a middle/high school band. Great coaches for sports.

About these ratings
The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.
We currently do not have any test score information for this school.
Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
