Hoffmann Elementary School

This school really dropped the ball on dealing with my son's special needs. Said that "they" did not consider ADHD before 2nd or 3rd grade yet were continually confused that their behavior charts, detentions, or suspensions of a Kindergartner did not have any impact on him (he was diagnosed over the following summer break). They also did not meet their obligation to him under Child Find. The principle is condescending, and everyone involved absolutely flipped out and scared my child for using the anatomical name for a body part he felt was touched inappropriately by another student, because "some parents don't teach their children those words"--not my problem or my child's.

We have two kids who attend this school. We are very, very pleased with this school. The teachers are very diligent to students needs. They communicate well with parents. Our kids are excelling at Hoffman. We recently moved from CO. and had security issues at their school there but have not had any here. There is a culture of understanding and tolerance of people who are different than yourself. They also take bullying very seriously. We are comfortable with our kids going to this school. We feel they are safe and are getting the best possible education. Highly recommended!
