As a first time resident;my daughters first time at Winston.Its been nothing but problems.I did every to get my daughter comfortable as possible.We met the teacher her first day she was moved to another teacher and my daughter was scared and crying she had a breakdown.I spoke to the principal she said thy did the best she could do even if she was on the list.My daughter has been bullied since day one and the principal/teacher didn't take any action on the students.Everytime there was an incident I spoke to the teacher/principal. My daughters teacher asked me why I moved to this side of town that my daughter is innocent compared to the kids in her classroom and shes going to school with nothing but street kids and most of the parents aren't involved.When there was a sub something happened finally at the 5th incident I withdrew my daughter.she is now going to stonewall flanders where im paying out of district fees I didn't want her in any other edgewood district school.when I withdrew my daughter the principle then decided to take action on those students but by then it was to late.its a shame if the school dsnt belive in thier kids.theres nothing positive I can say just that we lest

Why do you love Winston Elementary School? Winston Elementary has great programs that really keep the students involved such as newspaper, yearbook, GT, student councel, safety patrols,etc. The school is clean and has a very positive atmosphere.
