I guess it all depends on who your child's teacher is, but my experience at Arnold was horrible. I'm not saying my kids weren't learning at a decent rate, but when came to a bullying situation that involved the principal/asst principal, I was NOT please at all with how they handled it. I felt like they sympathized more with the bully than my child. I mean I understand that when kids have an unstable home life they may act out at school and my heart goes out to them and all, but NEVER before my kids and their well being. The after school program director is so "rough" for a woman it's scary to have to talk to her sometimes.

my oldest two kids attended arnold. and let me say this, i am a picky mom. strict as they come. but this school not only made me feel secure in sending my kids, but also i knew that they were doing everything they can to help my kids excell. my daughter jojo had NO confidence. but with mrs stclair, ramon, felan and her teacher mrs richardson, my baby went into jr high with a positive mind set and since arnold she continues to bring home good grades. they gave instilled that in her by support and dedication. they show kids that yeah sometimes life isnt easy, but just dont give up and keep trying. now my youngest is in their kinder. omg mrs jimenez got him reading. plus he really wants to go to school. no school is perfect but i will say this, arnold is the kinda school that wont give up trying to help your child. they will do all they can and more. as a mom i just love seeing him go to school with a smile on his face and excitted to learn.

I was paying for Catholic school. they said my daughter was failing and kids were verbally abusive. We moved into Arnold's area. Within 2 weeks my daughter was able to score a 92 on TAKS reading thanks to her teacher's dedication and free after school tutoring. She then got an 80 in Math where she was totally lost at privates school. Due to some moves, we have also been exposed to charter, public and other privcate schools. We have found Arnold to be a positive environment for our daughter and she has benefitted from their structure. I just wish there was more extracurricular activities.

This school is our home campus in the SAISD district. We have had the worst experiences at this school. They may be a decent school for the average student but we found them to be extremly intolerent of any consession that needed to be made when it came to our child who is academically on track but requires additional services. Our child has attended this school on two occassions and both were a nightmare. Our child has never had the issues we have experienced at this school. They foster bullying among their students and tolerate it. We felt the enviroment was toxic and unwelcoming. Test results mean nothing if we are turning out children with no compassion or empathy.

I have two children attending, my son is in the 2nd grade, and my daughter is in the 5th grade, and I am very pleased with the structure, and the time they take with the children, every staff member seems to know all the children, and for me that is very important it lets me know that they are not just a number for them. Teachers have done a great job challenging my children to reach there potential. I would highly recommend this school that is moving into this district.

Compared to other schools in this district, Arnold is one of the best. My daughter's teachers have been caring and competent. I was disappointed that no art program is offered. I also find the homework monotonous and of little benefit.
