I learned so much at this school. It was a blessing for me to attend Dwight Middle School. I would recommend this school to any parents looking for a good education and experience for their child. Both the principal and vice principal are amazing men. They have watch over me since i was a fresh man at Dwight Middle School. I would give this school a high ten.

This school has performed a turn around. The principal believe in tough love meaning that students must behave and work for their grades. He has maintain a tough enforcement of gang activity keeping it out of the school. The school is now a safe place for students to learn. The band has won state twice in the last five years. The school leads the southside in reading and writing scores. Student's written work has represented Texas at National competitions in social studies and in the Stock market game. Teacher morale is high and the school has not had a teach leave in two years except for retirement. Girls soccer had an unbeaten season as did boys football. Both boys and girls basketball teams split their games with district champs. This is a good school for my children to attmept. Last Teachers of the year for the district has come from here.

Teacher carelessness, Principal non-professional with students. Also, the crime and drug usage is rather high, faculty and staff do the bear minimum to help students and notify their families. I would rate this school 10% out of 100% , rather poorly.
