Which area of town will you be moving to? There are good elementary/middle schools in Northside ISD.

We have some wonderful schools here in San Antonio, Comal and Boerne. Is there a particular side of town you want/need to be near (for work, etc.)? If you're in need of a Realtor I'd love to help you. If you have that all taken care of, great...I'd be happy to answer any questions you have regarding schools, museums, parks, etc. Good luck with your move, San Antonio is a wonderful city. Oh, and you may want to make sure to buy a season pass to Seaworld, Fiesta Texas, Splashtown, Schlitterbahn, or find a neighborhood with a pool (or home w/ pool) to keep you cool in the summer!

There is a strong possibility I will be moving to San Antonio this summer to begin classes at University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center. I will be in need of a realtor! I also am trying to find out where the good schools are that would still allow me to be relatively close to campus. I have three children in elementary school. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

We recently returned to San Antonio with our second grader. Schools here are heavily into standardized tests and teaching to the test. Our 2nd grader attends a Texas exemplary school, and it is not even close to the quality of public school we had in New York. We have opted for a private school after buying a house solely to be near the "exemplary" school. Please do not make this mistake and consider all your school options and realize when the school spends all day teaching children how to pass the test the school will have high standardized test scores, it does not mean children are being well educated. I also wish we would have taken time to observe the public school classrooms before buying to see how behavior is managed. SAISD is not well rated but Bonham elementary is respected among community members that value education beyond the standardized test.
