Idea College Preparatory San Juan

I was very skeptical about enrolling my son into the Idea Charter School system because of all the horror stories I had heard from other parents. It's amazing how many excuses a parent will make when they find out that the school is no longer responsible for their childrens failure. After reading an article on US Today and learning that Idea College Prep was rated #13 in the US. What more could a parent ask for? I decided to enroll my incoming 6th grade son and WOW!!! I've gotten nothing but wonderful feedback from my son and his teachers. The material that is being taught just amazes me everyday. I know one area that my son needed help on was organization, but now he's organized in everything that he does. Somehow this district of charter schools has mastered how to movtivate the students. If you're looking for a school that has offers a strong educational foundation for your child and superb parent -teacher interaction, then this is the place for you. You won't be disappointed. The school opened its doors for the 2009-2010 and we were there. Students are challenged (shouldn't they be?) and educationally responsible for doing their best...all in the name of setting up a great foundation for their college years. What parent would be disappointed in that? If there is something you may not agree with, approach the school personnel and they will meet you half way. Too many parents and schools offer excuses for their child's/student's inappropriate actions and educational failings, but here, with your positive outlook and support, your child can flourish with a bright educational future.
