Savoy has now won the district academic UIL championship 6 years in a row. thats no fluke. They just won the state math championship. They have caring teachers. My children are thriving in this wonderful little school

Savoy High School is an excellent environment for students in gaining the education needed to thrive in this world. As an alumni of the school, I went on to a graduate from East Texas Baptist University as a Dean s List student athlete. I was adequately prepared for all challenges in the classroom, on the field, and in the world. As I continue my life and begin thinking of a family of my own; I have no hesitations in looking at Savoy ISD to educate my children. I have even came back to Savoy as an educator because of my belief in the district and community.

the high school is a great school, but it has alot of proplems in it. Don't get me wrong the teachers are excetlnt and are some of the best. the only proplem is the students not wanting to learn.

I am a student at savoy high school. I love the school. The teachers are very supportive. Very little bad things go on because in a small school everyone knows everything. This is a great school to be raised in, I have been here my entire life.

This school has greatly improved in the last few years. My son has done very well in both college prep work as well as UIL academic competition. The school has won the district academic championship for several (I think 3) years in a row.

Savoy has a great academic program. My son and 2 classmates gained admission to University of Texas - Austin due to their academics. These students competed in several different computer programming contest during their high school years. Winning first in Region 10 against 2A/3A schools two years in a row and placing in the top ten in state. In the State UIL Computer Programming contest the team won second (Jr. year) and first in (Sr. year). The school has won the Academic District UIL meet for the past 2 years and UIL One Act Play advanced to Regionals this past year. The school has a robotics team that competes against 2A-5A schools in the North Texas best competition sponsored by Texas Instruments. Savoy offers students the chance to play in a rock/country band learning to play guitars, drums, etc. This small school offers a lot of opportunities in addition to sports.

My kids have attended here for 2 years and we think it is a great school. We moved from a larger district and have been very pleased. Great people, great school. I tried to post this before and it didnt show up on the site.

I was very disappointed with Savoy High School. My son came here expecting the system to be really great for him since he was coming from a much larger school. Small schools are apparently great if you are raised within that school system but if you transfer in, you are the outsider. I would not recommend this system or town to anyone wanting to advance academically.
