To me this school is getting better every year. Mrs. Trevino is great. Just on recess the teachers could pay more attention on the kids.

Poor administration. Some great teachers, but the bad stick out more. Not enough dicipline for children and not enough actions to correct the problems are taken. Teachers should have to conduct themselves without swearing, being nasty, talking about children to others classes. (All of the above has happend) the adults in the school district ,teachers, other staff, administraters should have to use their manners as well as students and parents. I beleive after looking at other schools stats and lisenthing to other parents our school district needs a complete overhaul on teaching methods, more help for students more parents involved, more teaching, better programs better attitudes from teachers and administrators when parents have real concerns about thier children. My children deserve better then what somerset is giving and offering.

Too much time spent out of classroom. Poor administrational support for teachers. Discipline poor.

Up and coming ... they've just established a PTO and have a very open policy about parent visits. Seems like everyone is really interested in the kid's success.

Some staff are not very creative. Many staff are not open to many new ideas. Discipline is outdated (children put into corner). Somewhat high turnover rate. High principal turnover rate, but not due to principals...due to poor central administration. Central administration and school board not supportive of teachers' voiced concerns and needs. No forum for teacher's to voice concerns/comments toward Superintendent/Central office. Too much paperwork.
