Because it it a great school and i love it my daughter loved intill we moved but she still has memories she will never ever forget

My son has been going to this school for 3 years now and I have found this school to be sub-standard. The teachers do not seem to have either the time, or concern, to work with my child. As the parent below mentioned, this school does appear to be female dominated so little tolerance is given for the behavior differences of boys. They do not work with boys but punish so often as to discourage them. The teachers do not seem to have a clear plan of action in how to work with such issues as ADHD. Regarding education, I've had to look through my son's graded homework and go through it carefully, because the teacher often incorrectly grades it and he receives an inappropriate score. Overall, there is more emphasis placed on sports than education, and the staff does not work with students/parents enough.

Both of my children attend this school, although my oldest will be moving to the intermediate school next year. Overall, I feel that the school meets, but does not exceed my expectations for an elementary school. Average class size of 22 students is still the norm, and doesn't give quite as much one-on-one as I would like. Also feel that the TAKS test are emphasized entirely too much. Kind of strange when my daughter makes a C in math for the year but aces the TAKS. This is a female dominated school and often boys aren't allowed to be boys - sometimes minor annoyances are overblown into a 'zero tolerance issue'.

I have two children attending this school, and a third whom attended it three years ago. I have only the best things to say. I have never seen a more dedicated staff in a school. The students love their school it's on each child's face you see in the hall. Ms. Green is a wonderful principal, Ms. Kerr the nurse is great with the kids. I stood in the hall by the office each day this year waiting to pick up my child. I would get there fifteen min. early and observe the activities in the hallway. It seems that the students feel like the staff are family members. I have never seen anthing so pleasant. I wish every school was so spirited.

The school is very good and the teachers and staff are very focused on the children. The class size stated in your records is wrong. Most every class is maxed out at 22 students because of the growth Splendora is experienced. We are adding new schools for next year which should help. I would like to see more programs, like science and spanish emersion. We are in a heavy spanish speaking area and our kids are not being taught the languages they will need to get a job in the year 2015.

There is absolutely no better elementary school in the US. I love the environment that the school gives to our children and how they welcome the parents to be involved! 5 stars, 2 thumbs up to all the heartfilled teachers who are truly doing the job they were meant to do!
