This school was a terrible experience. The children eat outside everyday and play in the mud. My daughter came home filthy every day with a filthy lunch kit. The curriculum is set but only for show. The teachers do not follow it at all. Everyday my son would tell me that he "played" when I asked him what did he do today at school. All of the extra activities cost extra money and even still the teachers would only do the activities that the parents paid for if they felt like it. It was horrible. A rip off. If you send your kid to Spellwell Montessori then you must not care about your kid.

The academic program is amazing and respects each child's own pace. My daughter just started K in public school and is far ahead the other kids thanks to Spell Well. Mrs. Nilo, the teachers and the staff are great. Besides the regular curriculum, music, dance and Spanish lessons are included in the tuition.

I used to think Montessori schools were the best and tried to keep my kids enrolled as long as I could. My two kids went to Spell Well for a year and another Monterssori school in the area before there. The first impression I got from the school was chaos but I dismissed my thoughts due to it being a new school year. After a year at the school I moved to The Woodlands and my oldest went to the public Kindergarten class and was very far behind. I am still trying to undo the mess they caused him during that time.

Mrs. Nilo, as well as a number of faculty and staff, have played an integral role in my educational and physical development over the years and I am truly pleased to say that I am a graduate of Spell-Well Montessori School! Spell-Well has grown into an exceptional institution and I am thrilled to see that it continues to thrive and expand with the help of caring and loving educators and management. I recommend this school with no reservations! Best regards, Laurie Gardiner

I can't say enough great things about this school! Each one of my three children have attended this school and they absolutely LOVED it! Nilo and the rest of the staff are wonderful, and the facilities are excellent. Before Spell Well, my first daughter used to give me such a hard time about attending a previous school, but she really took to Spell Well, as did my other kids.

My son has been attending Spell Well since January 2010 at the age of 2. He started out over in the Toddler Program and has since progressed forward. I was a full time college student going to school for my Teaching Degree out in Huntsville but chose this school because I loved the Director Mrs. Nilo and Mrs. Brooke and the curriculum is wonderful. As a education major in college I am familiar with Montessori and this school is one of the best. Since my son has been at the school they have upgraded the facilities and even added a wonderful nature trail that spans the entire campus. The after school activities are also great and my son participates in two of them.

I love Mrs. Nilo she is very caring and truly loves the kids. The only thing I would say is that I wish the Toddler Room 18-24 months was nicer and larger. It feels as if the kids are stuck in a small dark room. I would like the Toddler building to be re-done, the new building is outstanding and I just wish the other 2 buildings were up to those same standards. I also sometimes worry that there aren't enough teachers to students.

I am blown away by this school. Nilo is one of the nicest most accomadating people in TX. The teachers are superb. Brooke is a delight to deal with, even on sensitive subjects. Furthermore, the education my children have received is unbelievable. My 3 year old is already able to read 3 and 4 letter words and is sooo eager to learn; a compliment to the teachers. I highly suggest that you send your children here. They will have the best head start you could ever imagine.

My daughter is 20mths and has attended Spell Well since she was 2mths, she loves it!! The teachers there really care about the students and one of her first teachers still checks up on her and calls to check on her when she is ill. I couldn't ask for a better school

I would highly recommend Spell Well's pre-K and Kindergarten programs in the new building. We've been here over a year, and my kids love going to school every day. I found the curriculum to be interesting and stimulating for them, and they really like and respect the teachers. When asked, my kids would be excited to tell me what they learned that day. My 5-year old just missed the birthday cutoff for attending public kindergarten even though he was ready for kindergarten. This school is a great for those September birthday kids who are ready for kindergarten. On a different note, when we first started and one of my kids was in the transition program, the multiple buildings for the younger kids was somewhat of a hassle and it sometime took a while before someone could open the door of the toddler

I am a mother of four 19-5yrs. I am no stranger to needing good childcare. My youngest son has ADD and was asked to leave many expensive'best of the best' schools including a private well known Catholic school because of his 'lack of disipline.' Heartbroken Untill we found Ms Nelo and the teachers of Spell Well. They realized he followed a beat from a special drum and instructed ME on how to teach and redirect him into a wonderful 5yr old who is confident in an enviroment that allows him to learn. The one on one teaching and expensive manipulatives have given him the tools to enjoy learning. The activities they offer are numerous with a summer jam packed with learning. He loves Spanish. My son has come so far and it I owe it to Spell Well. Thank You God Bless you from the bottom of my heart .Thank you.

My daughter attended Spellwell for about 4 months. I have just transferred her to another school and she is much happier. My daughter is 2.5 years old. Spellwell seemed great when we started at the end of the school year, but then when summer came it just went downhill. Every morning, it was difficul to leave her. They seemed very unorganized, kids moving from one building to another, amongst other things. I felt like there was a HUGE lack of communication, her bottom would be red many days when I'd pick her up and have a dirty diaper causing her bottom to become more red, so I would change it once I got to the school. These are just a few things. Trust me, there are better schools out there!

Both of my kids go to Spell Well for almost two years. We couldn't be happier. They both have learned a LOT, in an environment that is based on respect and friendship. You won't hear a teacher yelling. When your child does wrong, the teacher takes time to explain and talk things through. Montessori is based on meaningful hands-on activities. It is amazing how professional the classrooms are organized and how independent the 3-5 year-olds are working. The kids take great pride in doing things themselves. The teachers and administration are very dedicated and friendly. Spell Well has given my kids more than a solid foundation to start life - by 'building knowledge with love' (their slogan' - but also by shaping their character and respect for others.

We've had our daughter at Spell Well Montessori for 2 years now, Kindergarten and 1st grade. We have thoroughly enjoyed this school and would recommend it to anyone considering a private Elementary education for their child. Our daughter did not attend any preschool or Mother's Day Out programs before Kindergarten and we were hesitant to begin her on a full day program. After 2 days, she was asking to stay the whole day and by the end of the week, we had changed to a full day schedule. She works at 1-2 grades higher than her current level and many of her classmates do the same. The teachers ask and expect the kids to do school work; however, if you feel it is too much, there is no pressure. Because the school is smaller, we don't worry so much about who she is with as we know many of the families.

My 5 year old has been at this school for 1 year. He hated math when he first came. He now loves it, and is adding 3 digit numbers. He recently started working on multiplication! He is learning, and doesn't even realize it, because he is having fun. The teachers are very nice. Walking into a crowded room of 4-5 year olds and they are all quiet, looking at books, having fun, yet learning--how do they do that?

This school is very nice :) The rate from someone on July 4, 2007 is off, way off! This is a nice place and my child loves going there and will tell you so and you wont have to prompt them to do so. I have had one issue that I was worried about, it was resolved instantly and my mind was put at ease and all is well again. It's clean, the teachers are always smiling (unless its been one of those days, and we all have them so gimme a break..), the kids have alot of fun, they learn, they know each other well, they even know the parents! Spell Well reminds me of a small town in a way that - everyone knows everyone, from parents to kids, which is a good feeling. I am glad my child attends this school and I would positively recommend it to others.

Great school! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. My son loves it there. He really likes his teachers and proudly shows off his work when he brings it home. The facilities are clean and tidy. The new school building looks fantastic and I am excited about the library it will have.

I found this school quite by accident when I was looking for a place for my son many years ago. The care and education my son received there was amazing! He attended for four years and when he graduated from Kindergarten he was reading at a 3rd grade level and was learning to multiply and divide. He had many extra curricular activities including karate, dance, piano, and horseback riding. When it came time to start my daughter in a pre-school three years ago there was no where but SpellWell for her. She is thriving under the care of the wonderful teachers and enjoys going to school. She has had many of the same teachers my son had because they do not have a heavy turnover rate. The staff is courteous and caring to both myself and to my children. I would highly recommend this school to everyone!

I chose SpellWell two years ago based on a friend's positive experience at the school. I now have two children, ages 3 and 5, at the school. I have been so pleased with the education they are getting, and I am especially happy with the teachers. Most of the teachers have been at the school a long time, and they genuinely care about the students. I love how the program encourages children to learn to do things for themselves, and how the teachers work individually with each child at his/her pace/level. Teachers communicate regularly with the parents, telling us how our children are doing and what we can do to enhance their learning at home, and encouraging our involvement in classroom activities. I highly recommend SpellWell.

This school is not clean, especially bathroom. No one smiles. Poor pricipal leadership. They don't communicate properly. I really was not comfortable leaving my child in there.I felt like adminstrator is very business minded and does market the school aggresively. I would not recommand this school to anyone.
