My grandson will enter Glen Loch in the Fall. My Daughter and Son in Law paid a visit to the school and were greatly impressed with everything that they saw. I have been telling them that they need to visit and not make assumptions. Every parent should take an interest in the school their child attends or will be attending. They need to get involved. My Grandson is very excited about enter your School this coming term.
This is the best school. The staff know everybody's name, and it is like a big family. Every kid is important, and they treat them like that. I am sad this is my last year at Glen Loch.
Glen Loch is a great elementary. The principal, assistant principal and staff know the names of each and every kid that attend. They make them feel welcome and make learning fun. I have had 2 kids at Glen Loch over the past 3 years and we have been very happy there.
We are about to move after just under three years at this school, and I am sad to leave Glen Loch. This is a very good school, the rating does not give it justice. The staff, the teachers, the principal, vice principal and counselor are all near and dear to me and my children. The principal is extremely approachable and listens and takes action if you have any concerns. We will for sure miss Glen Loch and all the people we have met here.
Wonderful school with a warm environment. With great parental involvement and caring teachers, we couldn't be happier there.
I am so thankful my children have gotten to attend Glen Loch Elem in The Woodlands. It is a down to earth, sweet, caring and academically challenging school. My kids have gotten excellent teachers. The Administration knows every single child by name and learns the names quickly. They truly care. My kids have gotten 100 on their TAKS scores both years and are very, very happy there. We are very blessed to have such an excellent elem school zoned to us!
Glen Loch Elementary is the best school. It has the best teachers who really care about their students. It is a all out team effort. Great school, Great Teachers and Staff, Happy Students!
We have a great community of teachers, students, administraters, and parents that work to make our school the best kept secret in The Woodlands.
Glen Loch is a wonderful school with caring and dedicated administrators and teachers who work hard to provide our children with the best education and school experience.
This school is fabulous! I challenge anybody to find a more caring, involved, and loving staff. Glen Loch has a fair share of diversity at the school and handles it beautifully. Glen Loch is also ahead of most nearby school interms of implementing cutting-edge teaching techniques.
I can't say enough great things about Glen loch school. The principals, counselor, teachers and everyone on staff are wonderful. I have two children that have attended for two years and I couldn't be more pleased with their learning experience. The staff really cares about the students success in school and in general. My kids have loved all of their teachers. There is also an economic and racial diversity that exposes my children to real life. Because of this, my kids are are more accepting of kids that are not just like them. They have made many friends with varied backgrounds.( Not likely in most Woodlands Elem. schools. I am very happy with the school.
My son went to this school and we both just loved it. The teaches really seem to love what they do. The adminstraion equally so.
I love this school, and the neighborhood feel of it. The administration is wonderful, along with most of the teachers I have encountered. I am very disappointed in the art program there, though. Glen Loch historically has had a wonderful art program, and the most recent teacher does not send home artwork, and does not seem to do as much with the students. It's really disappointing for me as a parent, and for my son.
I have 3 children at Glen Loch. I'm very happy with it. The teachers make an effort to work with the kids at their level. Two of my children are at higher reading levels than the most of the class and I've been satisfied with how their teachers have worked individually with them. The principal and vice principal are excellent - they know all the kids by name, are present at every school function, and set high standards for academics. Parents were very involved in the classrooms we've been in. There are 'class moms' and parents who come in every week to read to the kids or help them with computer skills. I have nephews at Ford Elementary and I can tell you there is a big difference! It was mid-year in Kindergarten before my nephew learned ANY sight words. If they transferred to GL, they would be behind academically.
Glen Loch is the only school in Conroe ISD that I have disliked sending my child to. It was a horrible experience, and I pulled him and had him privately educated, until he was old enough to switch to a different school in CISD. The other three schools he has attended have been outstanding. My experience with Glen Loch is that they do a very good job with children who are average or above average, but children who have special learning needs are treated poorly and their needs go unrecognized.
Glen Lock is an outstanding school which offers encouragement, self confidence, and academic discipline to all of it's students. We presently have two boys attending Glen Lock.
Both our boys attend Glen Loch and we couldn't be more please. The teachers are great. They love what they do, they teach children to learn, not to pass tests. Kids not only learn high levels of academics, but also great life skills. They encourage parent involvement in every thing. Frankly some of the wonderful programming and events would not be possible without the parents involvement. We have been there 3 happy years.
Glen Loch is only 2 percentage points shy of an Exemplary rating (88% in reading with 95% in math and 91% in writing). But its zone is the farthest east (which means the shortest commute to downtown) of all the elementary schools which feed into the (higher-ranked) McCullough Junior High and Woodlands High schools. In terms of our personal experience with our daughter at Glen Loch, so far we couldn't be more pleased. Our impression is that the teachers are very good, very responsive, very helpful, and they love what they do. Our daughter loves her teachers.
My son attends kindergarten at this school. His teacher is great and really works with the children. She encourages a great deal of parent involvment w/ the kids education. We really like this school so far.
Glen Loch Elementary is a campus with a fabulous blend of diversity, education and overall enrichment of life skills. The staff from Principle to lunch ladies provide a unified, consistent and positive enviornment for elementary aged children.
