This is a wonderful school with a great staff!
I totally disagree with the negative comments about the administration of the school. I have taught at other schools and returned to Northampton because of the strong instructional leadership and caring attitudes of the school administrators. The staff and students love our principals!
Super teachers and an excellent PFO makes this one of this better schools in the area. I must agree that the leadership in the admin. side of the school is weak and lacking.
They say you can tell alot about a school by the looks on people's faces....well, at Northampton the students and staff overall seem very happy. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Students hug the teachers and principals, so it's obvioius they are comfortable in this school. The instruction is very good and teachers keep in good contact with parents. One complaint....the traffic is horrible....sure wish the county would help the school by building a center turning lane out front!
The staff at this school is outstanding. The principal sets a tone of caring and concern for the students and staff. The instruction is strong. The level of dedication is incredible.
The PFO at Northampton is outstanding coming up with innovative fundraisers to benefit the teachers and students. Quality of teaching is excellent. Although leadership at the principle level [seems] dogmatic in thinking teachers overcome this with their caring and professionalism.
This is an excellent school with dedicated, caring teachers and administrators! Children are at the center of everything that happens at the school. Parents are welcomed warmly and always treated with respect. I love this school!
The teachers at Northampton are very good and care about the students. The area of concern is that the administration ties the hands of the teachers.
This is an excellent school that offers parental involvement and a fantastic education to all! I enjoyed the 2 years (3rd & 4th) grade that we were able to spend at this school. The staff were always happy and pleasant - a good sign that the principal is doing something right! The kids were always happy and my daughter had the best teachers both years! Unlike previous schools in the area! I definitely recommend this school to anyone looking!
This school has a very good level of parental involvement. I have been pleased with the quality of education in grade 1.
