The administration is not there to help the kids!!! There are a few great teachers but they are overshadowed by the majority that are less than good. The staff is very hard to get a hold of and they do not return calls or emails. I am very upset at the lack of concern the staff has for my child and would go so far as to say they condone actions by teachers that harm the mental and emotional well-being on the kids.

The principle is not awesome. I am a college student who would love to shadow the amazing music programs here and cannot. The principal doesn't want anyone in the school besides staff. No one not parents, not college students, no one. Klein ISD is a very good school district but needs to relook at MOST of their principals. It is very sad to me that I cannot get the education I want due to the principals pride. She is not benefiting the students in anyway by doing this.

If you go to this school, just prepare to be annoyed by multiple students in the hallways and in class.

I went here and loved this school...where as my little sister came 6 years after me and became a victim to bullying because she was interracial. A boy was bullying her and she hit him and when I came up there they said she really hurt him...bt there were no scratches on the boy the.boy was.sitting there smirking. They gav her iss which was the whole entire week and the last week of school. But the boy didn't get anything, and he even threw a bucket of water at her when ahe was.walking home. And all the stafd did was file a report, it was on the school campus. Well this was my.favorite jr high bt now I lost all respect for this school.this

Congratulations to Doerre Jr. High. I was at the Region Orchestra tryouts this weekend and Doerre had 7 of the top 10 positions. Nice accomplishment by your students and Orchestra teacher!

The staff is a little stuck up at times but also helpful. The staff is very hard to get a hold of and they do not return calls. Im very upset at the lack of concern the staff has for my child. I really do feel bad that my children are forced to attend this school. My hope is that my thoughts about Doerre will change.

Doerre is a wonderful school! My child has been going for 2 years now and the teachers, administration, and staff all care deeply about the students and their education. Only downfall, dropping off and picking up needs some work!

I've gone to Doerre for 2 years now. Im in the 7th grade and I love it here. The teachers and coaches are great. Im in band and am trying out for basketball. The band teachers are amazing and the coaches are terrific. This is a great school and in a very nice area. I have a broken arm and all of my teachers are helpful. My band teacher isn't mad or rude and my coaches are great about it. I really appreciate how good this school is. My elementary schools were great but Doerre is better. If you want to have a good education for you or your child this or any other Klein school is a perfect place to go.

I went to Doerre two years. There are two levels Pre-AP which is extremely hard or Regular which is extremely easy. There was no middle man. The Fine Arts were great! Everyone had something they were good at which I think is a negative, because if you aren't good at one thing you don't have any where to be. I loved the Orchestra program! I was only in there for one year but I learned as much as I did in 3 years of Saxophone\Band. Some teachers are great! My Pre-AP teachers were great except there was no extra credit. Which I don't understand because these are the kids that done that kind of stuff. Regulars no one cared except if you were failing. The kids in these class didn't care either. Over all OK school.

Doerre is a great school. Parents are not to be concern. So far there have not been any gangs at this school compare to others. Doerre is located in the middle class neighborhood and parents are involed by volunteer at Doerre. That what makes Doerre a wonderful school to go to. The teachers get strict with students because all they want to do is talk in class and not pay attention . I don't have any problem with my daughters teachers. We tell our daughter she needs to be re-spectful to her teachers and pay attention in class. One way to communicate with your kids is talk to them everyday and find out if they have any problem or concerns.

I've been going to Doerre for all three years. The sports programs are very good, and there are alot of extra curricular activities. The teachers usually teach nothing but TAKS or pointless worksheets, but I've really learned alot since I've gone to Doerre. The principals are mean, and the school's discipline system is horrible. They treat you really bad for minor rules, but the major ones the punishment doesn't teach students enough. Usually people don't even care if they are written up, because they are fed up with people picking fights with them. Teacher Quality = 4/5 Principal Leadership = 3/5 Extra Curricular Programs = 4.5/5 Sports Programs = 4.5/5 Safety & Discipline = 2.5/5 Parent Involvement = 5/5

I was in honors classes all the way through Doerre. The kids who have a mind of their own are treated badly because they don't act like everyone else. I was treated as an outcast and was ignored the whole way through because I was 'different.' The teachers focus on nothing but TAKS, the Doerre Dollars system is terrible with worthless rewards. The only good thing was the rewards at the end of eighth grade, we got a field day for good TAKS scores and two dances. The rest was pretty much forgettable. I hated Doerre and I'm glad I graduated.

Doerre can be a great school but there were tons of fights in my 6th grade year. The sports programs are great. Besides the fighting, it is a very neat school.

This school is Amazing. The teachers are ready to help the students succeed. The disciplinary rules are great, but the safety isn't so top notch. That's the only thing they need to work on. I think their parent to principle system has improved. Amazing!

My son is in the speical ed program at doerre. The teachers initially just accepted his work no matter what the quality--just as long as minimal effort is shown to complete it & gave him A's! He wasnt learning anything. I have to stay on top of the teachers so that they follow the IEP set for my son. I asked if a sped ed parents group could get started. was told great idea, but no other response by the principal. g palumbo

I love Doerre! I think the clubs they have are amazing. The school does need a better system against fights. But the rest its great! You will be sure to find school spirit! Go Warriors!

I agree with the previous reviewer that Doerre is not very supportive of single working parents. The administration is more concerned with appearences and test score than the well being of each student. There are definitly politics at work here...unless you volunteer or are a PTA 'mom' you are counted as a second class citizen. Ms. Saccomanno needs to realize there is more to education than TAKS scores.

I am a student at doerre and I love it! there are nice teachers, principals, and students everywhere you look! I feel comfortable to know that it took no time at all to make friends, and that I am safe. I am in seventh grade and have been here scence sixth. The art department is fantabulous (mrs.cleary & mr.Z), the math team is awesome (mrs.pine!), and the pe coaches are great (coaches mac, Z, and lee!)! The clubs are outstanding! I participate in anime club, doerre drug free family, and I play Volleyball.Doerre is a great school and always will be!

This is an excellent school. Teachers go the extra mile, the administration is top notch and parent involvement is exceptional. We love the continued emphasis on technology and the wide array of extracurricular activities. Behavioral expectations are high and only those who aren't able to accept their consequences need to go elsewhere.

Doerre Intermediate is a highly reccomended school because of all the advanced curriculum, however the teachers could put forth a little more effort in hands on teaching the children. I think that our children could perform the activities much better if the teachers made sure that all of the students understood the curriculum at the end of the day.

My son was new to the school 7th grade and was bullied. After several months and no teacher intervention he rataliated and punished. There was no leniency for the circumstances and the punishment. He really soured on the school and the administration. Disappointed in variety of coursework. Everything is highly structured with no allowance to deviate from the standard path. Transferring into the TX program is more problematic than elsewhere.

I think that Doerre is a great school! I am currently a student there and I love it! I just moved to Doerre at the 1st of December and I had some pretty bad teachers in the past, a few good ones but not many at all! Then I came here in the middle of my 8th grade year and I was so nervous and I didn't know anybody at all and then on my first day here I started making new friends! Everybody was so nice and so friendly and welcoming to me! Then the teachers; they are absolutely great and I have learned so much more here than I ever would have at my old school and I am also in band and the band program is the best ever! You learn alot in the band classes but at the same time the teachers make it fun and they make it to where we feel comfortable there! So overall Doerre Intermediate is a great school!
