Core subject teachers are great. Pleasant experience until my child took art with Frank Biggs. Grading system and make up work policies are lacking. Not willing to work with the student. Very disappointed.
I think this school is crazy. I want to see the teachers be nice and not so mean because that's why the kids are so meant to them
Not very impressed with this school. My daughter stated that some teachers were not willing to answer multiple questions re: classwork and were impatient and always yelling. There were a few exceptions. There were teachers that offered assistance and pre-class tutoring if needed. I guess there are always some good and some bad teachers everywhere. I was definately not happy when they decided, against parental objection, to revise the dress code during the summer (after I had already purchased many of their outfits which they were wearing during the summer) so there was no way to contact them for additional information or discussion. Whenever I contacted a teacher or principal over the years my daughter went there, they usually responded fairly quickly.
great school--we've been really pleased with our experience with this school! The school offers many extracurricular activites and has a history of excellence.
If only we could move NOW!!! If you love your child and want them to thrive in a safe, fair, respectful and positive atmosphere, DO NOT LET THEM ATTEND TWIN CREEKS MS!!!! My father taught for over 35 years, and TCMS exudes everything he was against! The only thing that thrives at Twin Creeks is DISRESPECT!!! They show favoritism big time! The welfare of your child is not their forte! The administration goes out of their way to bully parents, and if the parents buck them, they take it out on the child! It is so sad!!!!!
i go to this school right now it okay i guess my teachers are cool except athletics[blah!!!!] overall school is 3 out of 5 im in 8th grade && im never teased because im friend with every one Oh and we need a bigger soccer program because its like 2 weeks long while track and volleyball basket ball and football is like a month thats not fair at all we only go against 4 schools while the other go against like 30
Like most middle schools in Spring, Twin Creeks is on the decline. There is no accountability for students or parents. Only teachers are held accountable. We are expected to be parents as well as teachers. When it comes to discipline, there is no support from the principal and only one assistant principal has the nerve to stand up for teachers. Twin Creeks needs stronger leadership, not the current leadership cowering to parents and standing over teachers with whips.Students don't know who the principal is because he is detached from students and the majority of the staff. Unfortunately, too many of the excellent teachers are leaving or being forced out.
I think TCMS is a really great school!! I'll be in eighth grade their next year. I luv TCMS and think it's a really awesome school.
I think TCMS is an AMZAZING scool exept for a few things. 1, the teachers there are either really nice, or you want them fired. Also, there are teachers that have actually made students cry. In general the only problem with Twin Creeks is several of the teachers and their lack of communication with parents and no care at all thats students have lives outside of school.
well um I go to this scool as a sixth grader many ppl here are teased even the ppl who are some of the best ppl are cruel i still recomend this scool because i have learned sooo much from the teachers who are great i myelf are teased regulary but I can put up with it i want to be smart but i really recommend this for someone who is mature and knows how to handle themselves
This school is AWESOME!! I love it I am a 7th grade student there and I must say my past two years there have been some of the greatest years of my life. I mean sure occasionally there's a fight or two maybe in the halls, but hey what middle school doesn't have any! Also the teachers are amazing! My favorite is Mrs. Tharp she is the greatest teacher ever. She ALLWAYS keeps us entertained. One of my other favorites is Mr. Feris! You can't get any better teachers than the teachers at Twin Creeks! I hope this review helps!
I like this school alot and I'm in my second year here. Some people think that TCMS doesn't give out alot of homework. In the Tier 4 program for 7th and 8th grade they do! I'm glad it wasn't as much in 6th grade. My favorite teachers I've had here are Math: Mr. Rodrigues(he is hilarious), Language Arts: Mrs. Nefe(she is really nice), Social Studies: Mrs. Humphries(if you have a small and good class she is really nice), Science: Mrs. Starmack(she is really nice). If you are in 6th Grade Tier 4 Language Arts appreciate Mrs. Nefe! Mrs. Perez(7th Tier 4 English) will keep you on your toes when it comes to homework! Electives: Mrs. Tharp(most computer classes like Media Masters) really fun class! Band is also great! Wow what along review! Hahaha!
I have my second daughter at TCMS in 7th grade. They have a wonderful music program and both of my daughters had teacher who are ALWAYS available and ALWAYS keep parents in tht loop!
My second daughter is in 7th grade here. She and my oldest daughter have had wonderful teachers who are always keeping me in the loop and looking out for them. Everytime I visit thsi school I see Mr. Rooke the principal. He is constatly out and about and involved with the kids/parents.
Twin Creeks was a really nice school! It might be kinda old but my sixth grade year there was awesome!!! The teachers were insanlly nice!! They really connected with us the students. I really enjoyed the classes and the students weren't that bad either! I highly reccomend this school to middle schoolers!!
I go to this school , and it is a really awesome school to go to. We have many strong leadership programs and electives.
This school has gone downhill since my oldest daughter attended. Now I have a 6th grader there and the lack of concern for safety is terrible. There is also little or no communication from teachers if your child has a problem with academics. The school is still overcrowded as well and has many discipline problems. We are moving out of the district so that my daughter can attend a better school. This one is way below average in my book.
I go to TCMS and though the school has some problems with students behavior it is the best middle school in the district and has great sports teams. I am kind of glad that we dont have locker though becasue that means we dont have book which means not as much homework. Some teachers give alot of homework. I have one teacher that gives out more homework for a English class then my math teacher does which is unusual. over all this is a pretty good school.
In my opinion, the best MS in Spring ISD. - 1 police officer on campus - because it's a small campus - No lockers so, no books go home. Parents check out books at beginning of year for reference. Teachers use books in class or distribute paper copies of the assignment. - No gang violence witnessed this year, probably because the enrollment is down because of new schools built &, changes to boundaries; - school uses Zangle ParentConnect so you can view your child's grades on a daily basis - school uses paypam so you can put balances on your child's lunch account over the internet via credit card - Many times checks are not accepted for fundraisers so that a loss isn't taken on hot checks written by neighbors, friends & family. This is my son's first year. He is an above average student has has been academically challeged at TCMS.
This school is terrible. One police officer on duty is definitely not enough. There is no security except to protect the staff and equipment. As of March 1, 2008, the school accepts only cash or money orders for lunch, any school activities, etc. They want more $$$ for every single thing. Be sure you check how much that elective class costs before you sign your child's form. plus the elective classes are more like free time for the kids, not too much learning. The fact that checks are no longer accepted shows the quality of the parents whose children attend this school. If you live in this area and can't afford a private school, my suggestion is move to a better location.
