I'm disappointed in Harmony High School Sugarland. The teachers are great, but the administration is not familiar enough with American culture and customs. We have decided to move our child to another school.

Horrible school! The past administrators left to attend the new high school and this has been the most unorganized and unprofessional year. In addition, we were true advocates of Harmony but our experiences this year have left us disappointed. I would not recommend this school unless you like headaches and dishonesty.

I am a parent of a student who goes to the HSS High school but they do not appear on great schools therefore I choose to write on this blog. Do I think the school is good? Absolutely, or else my children would not get an education here. This high school is fairly new but their staff is doing an outstanding job. Everyone takes pride in being a part of this school, the students, the teachers, the administrators and us parents. The school staff is like a family and they care for our children like their very own family and I love that about this school. The teachers are so committed to their students and toward their responsibilities, it is just amazing. The women at the front office of this school are inviting and cheerful. Not only is the staff and secretaries of this school very amazing so are the young leaders of this school. The Principal is a young astute man and has great dignity and is so gracious while the very young lady who is the assistant principal is his pillar of support and is quite suave herself. Both leaders are instrumental in leading this school. I am at the school often and enjoy the school climate, the friendly secretaries, promising staff and adept school leaders

School administration is unorganized!!! Enrollment process is very frustrating. I'm glad I decided to remove this school from my family's list of options.

My children attend Harmony School of Science and I have to say the leadership of this school is remarkable. The Principal and Assistant Principal of this school know what they are doing! The Principal is forever devoted to our children' success and I feel very comfortable knowing my children are entrusted in his care. He is very judicious and inspiring to the children and us parents. As much as I believe the Principal of this school is most excellent, I have to say his Assistant Principal has a lot to do with his and the school success. She is a young, fresh and vibrant personality, full of energy and always full of smiles and humor. She is very firm yet loving and caring toward the children and gets the job done. I have dealt with her on several occasions and she is very professional in how she conducts herself. She knows what she is doing and how to get a grip on the situation. She does not easily give in or make exceptions and that is what I respect her for. I stand in the school lobby often at dismissal and observe her manage the students, parents and teachers all at once without difficulty. The two make a great team. I am very happy with this management and school.

No school is perfect and neither is ours! I have worked at other schools and have friends who currently work at several other schools in different ISDs. The leaders and staff of this school work diligently to create a positive school climate which affects everyone associated with the school- students, parents, staff, administration and the community. This school does not claim to be perfect yet continues to strive toward perfection. All teachers on this campus are either highly qulaified and/or certified or in the process of completing certification. If this school is truly what this very unhappy, bitter teacher claims then this school would not be doing wonders and retain a very committed and dedicated staff. This school would not have at the least a couple thousand students on the waiting list. As Ian Percy once said We judge others by their behavior. We judge ourselves by our intentions. It is important to judge your very own intentions before you judge others.

My wife is a teacher at Harmony School of Science for couple of years so I am indirectly in tune with what happens at the campus. She has only good things to say about the school, staff and administration. Recently there was lot of hullabaloo regarding plagiarism by the Principal, which was honestly a total immature move by some of the teachers just trying to attract attention. If there are so unhappy why don't they get a job somewhere else, Oh! Wait a minute there are no teaching jobs out there. Rather than being thankful of being giving an opportunity to impart education they rather waste their time posting negative comments about the school and administration, they should strive to make their class and school a better place and get more success at TAKS. School is ranked very high on discipline; lot of emphasis is giving on home work. I strongly recommend sending your kids as I can see our kid s graduating from this school as a much better individual and prepared to take on challenges ahead of the college and work environment.

The leadership of this school is lacking in ethics. The principal recently out a plagiarized email, claiming another's words as his own. The administration discriminates against women, especially mothers. Many teachers do not have a teaching certification, or even a college education in education/teaching. The school is disorganized and chaotic.

I would not recommend this school to anyone who doesn't want to get into a state college because: 1} Turkish populated school, students and teachers, I'm not even sure most of them have teaching degrees. Mainly go to Turkish events. 2} Horrible Lunches- some Turkish company 3}No extra-curricular or sports or clubs. No, wait there is a club: Turkish Dancing Club 4} Waste-Of-Time classes like Character Education, half the time they don't even have a teacher and just sit there talking 5} Cheating and Plagiairsm runs rampant through that school, I don't even think some people are learning anything. 6} Tiny school before you even think of enrolling your child look at the hallways during break, there is like 200 people in a 10 foot hallway trying not to be late to class 7}Even if it is -10 degrees outside they stay strict on the no jackets inside the school because they want us to look the same. 8} UNORGANIZED- so unorganized Those are all I can think of right now but there is more trust me. There are tons of better schools in Houston.

My child went to this school for a year, and i couldn't wait to take her out. The teachers are extremely hard to get a hold of, and since the majority of the school administration is Turkish, they focus on turkish cultures rather than education itself.
