I currently attend this school and i'll have to say its a really good school. The student body (6-8th grade) are very accepting. Its a big school, but everybody knows everybody. I am an eighth grader and i love all my teachers (espeacially Mrs. Starbuck!) The grade level principals are great, but the overall principal is not so great. She does tend to be kinda rude at times. But she is an ok lady. She is a stickler on dress-code too. The athletics are great. I was on the volleyball team and the coaches are amazing. The Teachers are all efficiant and are disciplinarians. The school does have a no tolerance attitude so students cant get away with much. I would totally recommend this school.

This school is so great!! I was a little nervous because i was new to the area.. my daughter goes now and loves it.. she was so shy and now she gets along with everyone. She is on the volleyball team and i could not ask for better teachers!

I being new to the school, was very nervous coming in. However, the teachers, students, and counselors are there for you and completley help you fit in and feel confortable. I was new two others times to other schools, and I can say with a single doubt this school was the best in terms of fitting in. Also, this school is very culturally diverse making one aware and appreciative to other cultures. I would defintley give this school a top rating for it has positively impacted my life!

Due to the socio-economic level of SLMS, the student body seems to be drifting towards paths that most middle schoolers would not usually go towards.
