I have two children in Bonham. I feel that the 8th grade IDS program is amazing, my child was challenged with reading, writings, and presentations. I also like that the kids can go as far in education as they want. My child is taking 2 classes that are high school classes and there are even higher ones available that we are not in. We also really like the band program. I was amazed to watch the beginer band play together so well. My child really enjoys this program and I love that it made my child want to practice and get better.
I am a former student and I Disliked this school very much.It did not help me succeed in things I needed help with.
This is a Excellent School and the Teachers Are Awesome and they are very good with all the students and they take the time with each and every student .And they treat each student as a person and a unique indivdual person and they can achieve there goals and they can do good in school .And I cant say enough about the Band teachers and the Football Coaches are Excellent as well very well with each child and they take the time to listen to each indivdual child and they care about all there students .And they take the time to be there for all of the students at Boham Middle School .I give Bonham Middle School an A plus .I would Recommend any child to go there than any other school in temple texas as far as the middle school are conscerned thanks keep up the Good work .
i love this school. the enviroment is great, the teachers are phenomonal. i absolutely love it there.
In my Opinion, Bonham is Strong in Math, mediocre in LA, writing, vocabulary and Science. Good to excellent in band, orchestra. Athletics -positive experiences. Principal is strong, lots of experience, but limited by TISD curriculum, in my opinion. Strong students seem to me to find most of their challenge in extracurricular, after school activities. Bonham is above average for a public school, hampered by mandated curriculum and poor parental support for strong academics,in my opinion. One of its strongest attributes is a (generally) congenial student population and parents who generally support good behavior in the classrooms. My child has never felt afraid or bullied at Bonham. :)
My daughter is completing her last year at Bonham and our experience has been very successful. The girls athletic program run by Coach Gregg is excellent as she cares for all students. The band and choir program are outstanding with multiple UIL winners, regional winners each year under the guidance of two highly qualified directors. The majority of core teachers are prompt to communicate which is a plus in any school.
Bonham Middle School is the best kept secret in TISD. The combination of awesome teachers and support staff make Bonham the place to be. Don't let the small student population fool you ... Bonham will challenge your student to their fullest potential. The reason for the small student population is that TISD seriously needs to re-district the Middle Schools and balance the population in all three schools better. Until then, the small class size is a big plus. Lots of one-on-one help by the teachers!
