Fantastic school! Incredible leadership! I highly encourage parents to be apart of PTO! That is the best way to get involved!

Thornton is a school with high expectations academically. The teachers are meticulous about getting kids in tutoring if they are falling behind, and bringing them up to par. My only complaint about Thornton is the absence of a full-time art teacher, and the absence of an ISS classroom. Both are greatly needed on this campus.

The Assistant principal is a great source for gaining increased teacher morale. There is an opportunity for a unique combined Kindergarten and first grade class that builds peer support systems for advancement in academics.

The administration is very good. The new assistant principal is great. The teachers really challenge the students in academics and character.

I have two children at Thornton and both have been there since kindergarten. My son, who has always been at the top of his class, has always been pushed to do more and help others. My daughter, who struggles with every new concept, has been given support and extra resources to help her learn. I have two wonderful children that happen to be on both ends of the spectrum and my husband and I are amazed and pleased at how the teachers at Thornton have meet both of their needs. Signed by, a grateful mother
